Blue sky Taipei

I have mixed feelings about this place Let’s start with the bad 1. This is not a hotel, despite booking this on hotels.com. This is an apartment in a residential building which means you check in yourself by getting a set of keys in a lock box. No reception, no daily cleaning, just an apartment. I would have booked through Airbnb if I wanted this style. 2. As everyone says, the elevator, the exterior and walking to the apartment is all old, smelly and coming back to the apartment each day was a drag. People left their garbage outside their doors 3. Bathroom sucks - bathroom and shower in one. We also ran out of hot water, but owner was quick to call someone over to fix it up. My wife had to take a cold shower and I copped an earful. 4. Sheets and towels felt dirty, so ended up buying own towels Now the good 1. Price - you get what you pay for land the above reflects the price. Not bad for a family of 4 2. Location, location, location. Can’t fault this and it was awesome getting around Taipei. 3. Large room and great for family of 4. 4. Aircon was great and worked a treat 5. Washing machine - it was a life saver as this was the last leg of the trip, so washed out clothes every single day. Ample clothes hangers as well. 6. Full size fridge - that was awesome!! Take everything with a grain of salt. Overall I’d recommend this place for a quick stay - max 2 nights. We stayed 4 nights and it felt like a drag.

Room is clean and very near 7 11 and Shimending area. Will come back.

Was upgraded to the larger room. Essentially a home rental - not a hotel. But in a good area and very comfortable stay. The property was clean and spacious and it was nice to have my own space (and the added ability to do laundry was also useful). Just make sure you send a message via WhatsApp to confirm the stay and get details about check in!

Good location, clean, and have a washer but no dryer.

Very conveniently located, although it's not really a hotel. Only found a small cockroach on the first night of stay.

抵達8樓並走出電梯外時，就聞到一股陳舊的味道，沿途也看到幾隻蟑螂屍體。一進到屋內，發現實際狀況與預期的有落差。或許照片不能很好的反映空間感，也沒有預想到這是一棟較老舊的大樓。但這種落差感也很快被時間沖淡。 我們發現隔音不是很好，有好幾個晚上因為鄰居 (應該也是旅客) 的噪音影響了睡眠。 我們的單位 (My Home Room) 加床後住三人有點擁擠，在地板上打開行李後幾乎沒有空間行走。 滿意的是地點非常方便，走路一兩分鐘就到西門町，附近也有餐館，麵包店，便利店等。也近台北車站，地點無懈可擊。

the room itself is ok. nice theme and good amenities. however the building and the halls are dirty and smelly.

There was neither clock nor telephone in the room. The price was reasonable. The owner appears to be an ocean Iover as the room is decorated with nice art work pieces about fish and boats. It would be nice if the towel hanger in the bathroom was not occupied by the hanging lifesaver models. The room was equipped with an electric kettle for making boiled water. No daily housekeeping was fine with me as a short-stay (two and one-half nights only) solo traveler.

It is a single room unit within the resident neighborhood, 5min walk to Ximen Mrt/Ximending shopping street. If you plan for JiuFen, even better because there is straight bus 965 just opps the location. Room is comfortable and not for fussy travellers which can stay 5 and above. Overall is good experience.

Actually, the stay would have been great except in our stay, we saw a total of 4 roaches at different locations in the room. It is basically the roaches that lowered the score to the place. The hostess is very responsive and helpful. The place is in fact, very clean except for the roaches which is difficult to control as they come from outside.

We booked with the expectation of a 2.5 star hotel or guesthouse but in reality it was an old apartment in a old smelly building. The building is extremely old and dingy. The corridor along our apartment smells terribly of dog pee. It was very unpleasant coming back to the apartment each time. On one of the nights, someone tried to open our gate but luckily it was well locked. The redeeming factor is that the owner responds to messages quite quickly. And when the remote controllers to the tv and aircon ran out of battery one by one we gave her feedback and she sent someone down right away to replace them. But overall based on safety and cleanliness we would not recommend this place.

It's well equipped with probably everything a traveller needs. However, if you expect a desk for work, it's not available and you need to work from a low height table instead.

The lack of a reception on site was the only downside. Property was clean and well equipped. Location was good.

เป็นที่พักที่สะอาดมากๆค่ะ อยู่ใกล้ Ximending มากๆ เดินไปแปปเดียวเองค่ะ ประมาณ 5 นาทีถึงเลย หาของกินง่าย สะดวก ใกล้ MRT exit 1 มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกพร้อมมาก ครบครัน -ทีวี -ตู้เย็น -แอร์ -เคนื่องทำน้ำอุาน -กาต้มน้ำ -เครื่องดูฝุ่น -ถุงขยะ -ไม้แขวนเสื้อ -ผ้าเช็ดตัว -เครื่องซักผ้า / ผงซักฝอก / น้ำยาล้างจาน (ตอนแรกไปเห็นก็ตกใจที่มีค่ะ) -หัวแปรงปลั๊ก แนะนำให้ไปพักค่ะ

It looks as clean as the photo shown and it is spacious when comparing the other choices around Taipei Station. However, lots of bug came in the house through the gap between the windows and its frames. Appreciate that the host came over to clean the house and seal the gap immediately at midnight. Overall is very good if the host makes sure the gap is sealed.

Good location - near Ximen station. Clean and easy to check in. Friendly owner who provides good guides. Quiet neighbourhood.

Very convenient location, close to train station. Room is very small. Very very poor soundproof.

The host was really kind for us to check in earlier. The place is very near to Ximending and has 7e and family mart just within walking distance. We could tell that host has put in a lot of decoration effort to make the space feels like a home. The place is small but cozy, unfortunately the aircond was not cooling enough but it doesnt really matter. We enjoyed our stay here and definitely will choose Blue Sky Taipei for our next visit.
