Goodmore Hotel

Exceeded my expectations. Very happy with my stay here. The room was clean, nice bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, and in a great location with easy access to public transportation.

Everything was grewt nut the pillows are too flow even with two i can feel the mattress.

Outstanding staff, I mean OUTSTANDING

Quality of rooms, hallways, and especially "business center" was unexpectedly low. Had problems with WiFi. Problems communicating with most staff in English. In sum this is a hotel for budget travelers, although the price does not suggest it. For me, as I needed to be nearby, location was convenient.

My second time staying here, and I was perfectly happy since I was a solo traveler. Rooms are small and my room (double twin) didn't have a closet... just hooks and hangers on the wall. But it did have good wifi, quality linens, modern bathroom, a safe, and a small fridge. Staff are friendly and there are complimentary snacks and beverages in the lounge. A small Carrefour supermarket is literally next door. Overall, an excellent value and a great location near Shida and Da'an Forest Park, though it's a 10-12 min walk to the nearest metro (Guting or Dongmen stations); fortunately there are tons of bus stops within 50 meters.

We have a great 2 weeks in Goodmore Hotel. All things are great except that the internet signals was weak on 7th floor. I hardly can use the free Wi-Fi. The staffs are polite and helpful.

Bed/ mattress for single room is too hard

This is a small hotel with one small elevator but it's working fine.

Clean, modern, quite, friendly.

I'm generally satisfied, but I have two complaints. I chose this hotel because the reviews stated there was a washing machine on the second floor, but today, May 2024, there is no washing machine. The wifi speed is extremely slow at night, making it impossible to watch videos sometimes .

Small

This was a great pick for hotel stays.

Convenient location but you can hear voices from next door pretty easily. The rooms that don’t have windows seem smelly due to being too humid, staff service was excellent though.

Room is very small. Comfortable beds. Clean washroom. Nice location

I booked this hotel because of its very close proximity to where I needed to be. In a city full of kind accommodating people, this place stood out as the complete opposite.. It started with a simple request to separate the bed into 2 singles (the double bed was just 2 single beds joined together). It was late 7pm, so I said I would separate the bed if they can give me an extra blanket and a pillow. First they acted like they didn’t understand my request and then said it can’t be done and when I asked for a different room they said it can’t be done, then lectured me that I should have requested it earlier and they would do it for me. They finally obliged with blanket and pillow but didn’t mention that I needed sheets too. When I asked the next morning for them to separate it for me (due to no sheets), they gave me attitude and said they won’t. When I came back for the day, another staff member said they did it but it would have been a different charge if I had booked 2 singles (ok, so why didn’t they just say it when I first asked). After that, I had to walk pass the grumpy staff every day for the rest of the week which was extremely uncomfortable and not what you want or expect on vacation. At the end of the stay, I accidentally left a gourmet food gift box in the fridge and asked if anyone had found it. It was obviously in there and they said no. I asked if someone can check the room and they said someone has already moved in to the room. Couldn’t wait to get out of there!

Area close walking distance to Da’an park and Yong Kang Street. Be prepare to Uber, MRT to other sites in Taipei. It’s 2.5 miles to Taipei 101 Wi-Fi. tv, clean room. Efficient size.
