Although i was upgraded, the bathroom reeks in urine smell. Even after they cleaned up, the smell persisted! The carpets were stained with obvious patches.
Hallway was dark due to design and painted wall and facility was old and not well maintained.

This hotel is unsafe.
We first realised there was an issue when another guest walked into our room. We phoned reception who told us not to worry because he was staying in another room. This did not explain how he got into our room.
The next day we came back to find our room unlocked. We had made sure it had locked when we left. Again we spoke to reception. Initially they said there was no problem. Only when we insisted did we get someone to come and see. The staff member showed us the ‘special way’ to lock our door. They completely ignored that the door would not lock by itself like every other hotel I have ever stayed in.
The third day, we found that the cleaning staff left our room unlocked…again. This time we decided to leave notes for them, they were able to lock the door after that.

Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the extra space after staying at other hotels with smaller rooms. Excellent location. Next to MTR exit 5, 7-eleven Hello Kitty store and across the avenue of Ximending.

I love the fact they have connected rooms, perfect for families with older kids (teenagers).
The room is generally clean in the areas you can see. But when I was double checking the bottom of the beds before checkout to make sure none of our stuff fell there and get left behind, it doesn't look like they clean there regularly.
They only do room cleanup every third night, which is okay. But they missed cleaning one of the two rooms we stayed in.
Location is great, just across Ximending. Wifi is good. Free breakfast, but there's not a lot of variety. We stayed 4 nights so we got tired of the breakfast menu. A few items rotated but it was about 80% the same for all 4 days.
There is an elevator right beside the entrance to an underground mall that connects to the Ximen station. So even if its rainy when you arrive or leave by train, you can stay dry walking to or from the station.
