Mega Hotel

Fantastically located - close to Chiayi Station and Bus Stop to get Alishan. Room was very spacious. Bathroom was decent.

This hotel was recommended by a bunch of travel bloggers and it is conveniently located just right next to Chiayi Train station. If you are planning on going to Alishan from Chiayi, this is the perfect hotel to stay at! The staff are helpful and very friendly. The reason for 4 stars though, but more like 3.85 is due to the cleanliness of th hotel. Lots of unnecessary displays that could be better organized or build a nicer retail space instead of a messy table, and you have to walk all the way to the back to get to the elevators which leads to another room that is smelly and seems like a bar but not really in use. My biggest complaint is the sheets were also smelly. It smelled like someone's body odor. Other than that, I think the convenience of the location to everything makes up for it.

Spacious room, excellent location. Do not let the ‘no window’ description put you off booking the basic room. The room still has natural light, and you never have a hotel room that you can open the windows anyway.

I turned in my room keys to the front desk and ckecked out at 8:25am. But I got an email at 12:11pm saying that I had not checked out yet and that additional fees might occur.

Excellent location. Spacious room with a little sofa, coffee table and tv. The location is very near the station which makes it easy to locate.

For the price, it’s not worth it. Property is outdated and staffs were not that friendly.

The hotel is well maintained, room was clean and big. The deco is quite modern and they provided free drinks and fresh fruits.

Great place to stay if you’re visiting for a few days. Train station across the road, night market 5 minute walk. Staff were great morning breakfast if included you must try the burger selection.

Check in went smoothly, but the receptionists were not enthusiastic about answering our simple questions about local fun places to spend time during our stay.

right across chiayi train station, very easy to use as base to go to Alishan. also well equiped kids play room, my children had a blast there

Very good location, it’s about two minutes walk to Chiayi Tran station and 10 minutes walk to Wen Hua night market. All our rooms are very clean and comfortable. Water pressure is very good, bed is on firmer side but I didn’t get back pain.

Excellent location if 1) you are going to Alishan via non-private transportation (bus, cruise bus) 2) Reaching Chaiyi by train. Another plus, it has self-serve laundry facilities. Front desk staff went far and beyond to help us to inquire/book Alishan transportation at the very last minute. Extra thanks to Louise and staff !!
