Monka Hotel

Very spacious and comfortable hotel with a beautiful view of Longshan temple and only two stops from Taipei Station. Will definitely stay again.

Very great staff helping make my late arrival work. Comfortable bed and nice bath. Only problem was broken fridge but it’s a minor issue. I would recommend tourists stay here. One of the biggest tourist spots is less than a minute walk.

Monka Hotel is as close as you can get to Longshan Temple! It’s a lovely small hotel, which makes the most of the small space.

I enjoyed my 8 days at Monka. Aside from friendly staff and the tourist attraction Longshan Temple is next to the hotel, the hotel location is convenient to shop for food and it is within walking distance to public transportations. I would give it 5 stars for property facility if the hotel’s internet speed was faster and have a safe for travellers to lock up their valuables.

Location was spot on! Less than 5 mins Walking distance to Guangzhou street night market and huaxi street night market. Lots of dining options during the day as well. 200m away from Longshan station and 1 station away from Ximen station. Only downside was the size of the room but you’ll be fine if you’re traveling solo or as a couple.

The hotel is right next to longshan temple which is pretty cool, the room was very nice and clean. Modern looking. My only complaint was there was no choice chair for the desk area (but in their defense i didn't ask if they had one for me to use). And, we didn't actually get the room we booked. We had booked the quadruple room with two double beds, but got the basic double room. It isnt the end of the world bc we didnt actually need the two beds but i have to assume the smaller room is a different rate so I'm wondering why we didn't get the room that we paid for?

A nice hotel. It is very clean and close to the subway station and a night market.

Great value...tiny but we'll equipped and clean. Not advisable for more than one person because of it's size unless you're really really intimate and comfortable with that person. Location is in old Taipei city and not for the faint of heart or solo female travellers.

The place was close to the Monka night market which was really convenient.

Very small rooms. Very modern and nice design, but just too small. Might be fine for Japanese tourists, but not for others. Elevator so small that we only put our luggage on it.

Room super small. The blind use to cover the window not able to block street lights at night. Fridge very noisy at night and we can hear it "OOOoooo" whole night.

The toilet did not work (did not flush) everyday during 3 nights we were stayed. Notified to the staffs amd they try to fix the issues. But the problem did not resolve until tbe last day.

Room is small but at least its clean and tidy. Close to train station.

There is leaking on the wall right below the TV's wall and rotten smell from the wall when I turned on the aircond. Room extremely small. The Lift can only fit 2 person exclude baggage. OMG.

Small room, cleaning staff always forgot to refill things back into the room (toilet paper, shampoo, etc) The hotel location is very close to the mrt station, but there are many prostitute standing on the street. The hotel staff in general are nice.

Good location just one block from Long Shan Shi MRT (train station) and 2 stops from Taipei Main Station. Great food nearby with the night market 2 blocks down and Formosa Chang in the same area. Very clean, painless check in and check out. Affordable and flexible staff (they were very accommodating when I had to shift my dates) An absolute dream.
