Sheraton Taitung Hotel

Clean and comfortable room, great location with a night market right out front if you are there on the weekends. Appreciated the free 2-hour bike rental provided.

When we were checking in the young man who checked us in was somewhat officious and gave us misinformation about the pool, saying that they did not provide bathing caps, and rather imperiously directed us to a nearby department store. We dutifully went and bought our caps, but when we went swimming, the very nice pool lady said they indeed had bathing caps if we wanted to borrow them. It was a bad introduction to what is quite a nice hotel. Our only other complaint is that the pool hours were quite short. The unfriendly check in guy said that even though the pool was open till 5, last entry was at 4. Who knows if that is true — he was wrong about the bathing caps! But we did not test it out. Having said that, the rest of the staff were quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast was quite excellent in quality and variety of foods on offer. And the pool (when open) was very nice. Room was nice and had a good view.

Convenient location, many dining options, nice hotel facilities.

Very nice hotel with great amenities and dining options. The Japanese style onsen is terrific. The dinner seafood buffet is recommended for variety and freshness. The breakfast buffet offers both Asian and western selections. Considering the amenities, this hotel is good value.

Main street outside the entrance is under construction; thus, very confusing to enter the hotel. Swimming poor is closed without advanced notice. Other facilities require Moriott Envoy and other perk programs that do not include hotel.com reservations.

A typical Sheraton hotel. Service as per their standards. Nothing earth shattering! Surprisingly English language proved to be a hurdle! Chinese restaurant food not the best at all.

Surprised to see Sheraton in Taitung. Its almost the only high rise bldg there. Typical sheraton high standard which means excellent standard in taitung. Sauna is good. Free breakfast has wide range but not top quality.

Had a very nice stay. The young ladies who checked me in were so kind and helpful. Would not hesitate to return for a longer stay! Thanks again for your kindness!

Fantastic dinner buffet, paired with excellent breakfast buffet, made the New Years weekend stay wonderful.

Everything about this hotel was great. The only complain we had was when we arrived on Saturday evening, we could not enter the parking lot as night market was right in front of the hotel entrance! Our driver had to call the hotel and then was advised to park at an offsite parking lot which was quite far from the hotel. Hotel then sent a van to pick us up from that parking lot. How strange to have the night market right in front of a hotel entrance!!!! Totally don't understand that idea!

excellent location in Taitung city , however, shower room water drain level is not quite ideals .

Overall it was a pleasant experience, with clean rooms, good breakfast, and very friendly staff. However, too many services were missing, which are not ok for such a high tier hotel. Here below is the list for future customers' convenience: 1) Swimming pool not in function (only available on Fri and Sat) 2) Gym functioning only after 2pm 3) No room service at night time 4) Night bar closing early (22:00)

The hotel itself is very clean and service is perfect. But the outside environment is surprisingly n a mess. By the way, you have to park your car in hotel outside parking lot once your car is bigger than mid-size. The day I stayed is a rainy day. It is another negative feeling.

Despite the large number of guests checking in on a Friday afternoon during Lunar New Year break, the reception staff were all wonderful and apologetic. The amenities at the hotel continue to be first rate, and the room was spacious and so comfortable. This was my second visit and I look forward to my next one,
