Aonang Regent Hotel

50 yr old male, solo traveller, stayed in Thailand for 1 month, 8 days of which were at Krabi in this hotel. I have given a top star rating for every question asked as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly, polite and extremely helpful, which was important regarding transportation issues, getting to the immigration office, the post office and for other general enquiries. Service with a smile always and 1 gentleman working on reception (apologies but I forget how to write his name) spoke excellent English, which was always appreciated. Rooms were very clean, the bed comfortable although pillows are slightly high but this is common accross Thailand. The shower didn't always maintain a constant wam temperature going from hot to cold but in all honesty though, with the climate being as hot as it was, a warm/brisk shower was more welcome than a hot one. Really for most people this is a super hotel and the location is excellent too as you are no more than 20 minutes from Ao Nang beach, the ports, the main shopping areas and the bars etc. It is quiet enough and close enough, depending on what you want. I met mostly families there at the poolside although I myself was travelling solo. Highly recommended and you can negotiate a better price if you stay longer too. Everything is ok. Calm place. Halal food is easy to reach by walking distance but if u want to go out by night,, make sure bring out torch light/have a ride.. Its really dark.. Pool are ok,, kids enjoy it..

Good and strategic location

Its a very peaceful place. No problem no interruptions. Definitely recommended

This hotel had dirty walls, a damp room, a foul smelling bathroom, and a general feeling of neglect. My husband and I were so dismayed when we turned the key and first entered. We spent our first 20 minutes in the room wiping down dirty surfaces on the furniture, light switches, and walls. The bathroom was absolutely infested with mosquitoes. We booked it for the view, and because it was highly rated on all the sites. The view was great. However, it seems that this hotel owes its high ratings to some kind of manipulation of the ratings system. Perhaps the reviews are old, and reflect a period of time when this hotel was newer and in better condition. It is easy to imagine a time when this hotel could have been nicer. It has spacious rooms with ample furniture, balconies with great views, and a quiet location. However, it has been poorly maintained, and left to degenerate. The staff is friendly and helpful. However I don't recommend this hotel to those who care about cleanliness!

At first the pool looks like a foot bath, but it's quite nice. The shade makes it accessible most of the day.

Hotel is located near the amenities and easy access. Nice and quiet for a family with grown up kids.

Hotel location is quite convenience to go to other places. Especially many restaurant outside, and the shops as well in within 5 min drive. And there is only half and hour different from airport and from city center as well by driving.

It is a great hotel for the price. Had a great view of the mountain and front desk was extremely helpful. Noticed the cleanliness which is a plus for me. Quiet area at night which I was looking for. Might be nice though if they were to offer breakfast. A tad too far from the ocean but a doable walk. Could have done without the children who wanted to splash at the pool at 8am which was below my balcony.

Great hotel with a wonderful, friendly, and helpful staff. Our stay was fantastic! If I’m ever in Ao Nang again I wouldn’t even consider staying somewhere else. Great pool, amazing views from the balcony. They even provide a great laundry service and rent scooters at the front desk. The hotel is tucked away from the main road down a side street so it was quiet and peaceful.

Was a good stay. Only no one at reception when I checked out so left the key on the desk.

I got the Family Room for 4 days and 3 nights (there were 5 of us) and we were given an extra bed on top of 1 king bed and 2 single beds. We arrived very early at the hotel and the staff allowed us for early check in without charging us. The air conditioner in the room we were given initially was not so good, so we told the front desk this and they immediately tried to fix it. After resetting the aircond it was still warm so they gave us another room of the same type. Our concerns were attended almost immediately and they staffs are friendly. We booked the Phi Phi Island tour (there are more options) at the hotel itself, and our airport shuttle. The hotel is located abit far from the beach but my friends and I are cool about it - it’s about 20 minutes walk.

We had a good stay. The room is spacious, clean and almost complete with what we need. Even us, a group of 9 people (we booked two rooms) were able to play inside one room. The aircon works really fine, the beds are big and comfy. The staff even helped us get a cheap rate on tours. We are also pleased with the service as they provide new towels and clean the room everyday. But they need to work on their showers since it doesn't have a proper heater, water is warm for a few minutes only. The water boiler on the other room we booked is smaller and seems not in good condition so we did not use it. You might also want to consider booking this place as it has no elevator. But you can manage, it only goes up to the 4th floor and the staircase is not steep so even with big luggages you could just lift it yourselves for some workout. Good for the heart :) It is a little bit far from the beach around 30 minutes walk but the staff gave us a free ride outside the usual time they offer free transfer to aonang beach. Overall we had a good stay.

Kind and welcoming hotel staff, clean and modern facilities, spacious room with amazing mountain views, quiet surroundings for nice and relaxing moments. Slightly far from the beach, but great excuse for walking and riding tuk-tuk. Close to a restaurant where I enjoyed hearty breakfast. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for any Krabi visit.

Hotel located a little far from the main road. But other than that, its fine.

I stayed here with 4 other friends for 4 nights in February 2017. The hotel is quiet and secluded enough not to be too isolated. The main Street has good food options a 5 min walk away. Free daily shuttle bus service from the hotel to Ao Nang during specific hours. Swimming pool by the hotel entrance is a good chance to get a quick dip, relax and bask in the sunshine. My friends and I stayed on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, with clean beds and there is also a great view from the balcony! We were also able to book a Kayaking/ atv day activity from the hotel reception for a reasonable rate! Overall it was a comfortable, pleasant stay at Ao Nang Regent. Good value for money

Free ride to Aonang beach, round the corner Lela Restaurant offering good thai food and beer. Hotel is very safe for lone travellers. Pool is clean and has sun deck chairs. Free wifi is strong in lobby n room. Room is clean and mine had the mountain view. Negatives are only local TV channels, no toiletries except liquid soap n shampoo.
