The resort needs updating. The pathways are unsafe in parts for older and unsteady people. The staircase was not washed in the four weeks we stayed. However the wifi was excellent, there was always hot and cold water, and the air conditioning was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. Would we go back? No. The owner could update the buildings and pay cleaners to wash down stairs and corridors.

The reception staff only said what your name they was so rude not helpful. The grounds were unkept rundown the paths were terrible paint peel off room was run down bathroom very dirty i have photos to prove all my words they said there was car parking but they mean on the main road . Worst hotel ever

I love Thai people but the front Hotel staff are terrible! They only cared about making more money with an upgrade that they forgot to tell us about the daily breakfast that was included! They also did not explain the upcharge. I speak basic Thai. Then when we asked about Breakfast they said they gave us coupons already (which they lied and did not) and then blamed us and did not give us anything complimentary despite us missing breakfast for a few nights.we explained to the owner but they lied to him! I don’t like being blamed for someone’s incompetence. They hotel is dated and not worth the $80 but it is directly on the beach which is its only redeeming feature. The beach is the only bonus! We will not be returning. On arrival we were given no information on where anything was. Meal times . The rooms were so dated, they need a good overall. There were only 2 plugs in the room . The bed was difficult for 2 elderly people to get on and off. As there was built in side's Staff were misrable. Only smile we saw was on the breakfadt table cleanersThe food mediocre. Pool only has 3 poolside beds then pethaps 6 under cover. The sunbeds on the beach wete all taken with towels the night before. Not once did we see a sunbed without a towel on it. I would not recommend this hotel

I liked the location and the staff were helpful and attentive. Food was very good. Wifi in the room was terrible. This needs to be upgraded or I would not stay in the hotel again. Expedia's advertisement states that the Hotel had flat screen TV's which is incorrect. Danny

Jacuzzi room large with all amenities however room desperately needs refurbishment. Very large hotel complex that appeared to have about 4 guests. Transport necessary as very little re food and drinks nearby. Staff pleasant and helpful. Photos must be dated as is no longer 4 star but acceptable overall for the price.

Been coming to Koh Chang for over 20 yrs and never stayed at Chai Chet - my mistake - this resort is a great spot right on beach and ticks all the boxes for us. As we've got older our levels of comfort and general requirements of accomodation have gone up, but our budget hasn't as much - koh chang resort and spa covers this 10 times over - easy check in - room better than expected - 15 steps to amazing beach - pool 15 steps in other direction - very decent buffet breakfast - cheap beers in room mini bar - room cleaned daily - sun loungers and towels available on beach - I could rattle on but suffice to say - this is the best place I've stayed on the island and for the right price - well done we will be back and we will bring / send others
