Hacienda Beach was great, the beach is beautiful and was nice and quiet during my stay. the staff at Hacienda beach were great and very helpful organising transport around the island and serving great banana pancakes for breakfast. there are a number of great beach side bars and restaurants to be found walking along the beach when you need a break from the sun.

Perfect one night stay over in Maenam before catching the ferry to Koh PhangAn. Great service. Good Food. Nice prices. Keep the bathroom door closed. The "vent" is a corrugated plastic cover that allows bugs inside. The hotel is a beautiful location off the crazy main road. Plenty of places to eat or drink nearby. Staff is so great and the food is good at the hotel.

One of the worst experiences I have had at a resort in Thailand. The staff were extremely rude. The room, which was advertised as a sea view room did not have one. They overcharged for everything. There are too many nice hotels in Koh Samui to entrust your holiday to these dishonest, rude people

The curtains were falling down, there was no food service of an evening, no room service, aircon was badly situated so you either froze or turned it off and with no ventilation it was awful. A padlock to close your door, the lights went out so quickly you could not see to lock the door with the padlock.. It was the worst "hotel" I have ever stayed in in fact I had better hotels back in the seventies when there was proper customer service..In fact although I had prepaid I could not wait to leave and left the next day. I have travelled since the sixties and visited Samui several times and before there was an airport so my experience has never been as bad as this so called "Hotel". Also they claimed there was a television but there was so much interference you could not see the screen. A real waste of money.

Room was full of ants and mosquitos, bed came with only a sheet which made it cold even though we're in Thailand, the bed was uncomfortable, and the wifi unreliable.

Picked this one from the Internet. Not as big as I expected from the pictures. Each room is a chalet/bungalow facing small but well kept gardens or the beach. We had 1 of the 2 on the beach, literally step off the porch onto the sand. Staff friendly and helpful, restaurant only open for breakfast and lunch but lots of other restaurants in 5 minute walk. We ate at these other places mostly because they were usually cheaper though the hotel food was good and well presented. We caught the end of the rainy season so some days were a washout and we used the in-room DVD player and the free DVD collection available. No tea/ coffee in the room until we asked and then they supplied a kettle (useful for hot water to shave as well) and cups/saucers but we had to buy tea & coffee from local shop. Very cheap. Only negative was the hard bed.

The Hacienda was exactly what my wife and I were looking for on Koh Samui! Was it a six star luxury resort? No. Was it the perfect combination of some amenities and beach front relaxation...absolutely! The staff at Hacienda were great, helping us with whatever we needed but not intruding too often into our "do nothing" getaway. Our bungalow was right in front of the beach side massage hut, and while we felt like this could have been relocated to a bit of a better location, truthfully those ladies were super nice and gave us a warm good morning each time we left our room. The lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach were perfect and the water helped us cool off whenever the sun got a little intense. We tried a few other places along the beach and were always impressed by the food at Hacienda as well. They had a pineapple fried rice "special" that was AMAZING! Do yourself a favor, even if it isn't on the menu, ask for it. Overall our stay at the Hacienda was excellent and when we come back to Koh Samui, we will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at Hacienda Beach. The bunalows were small, but well appointed. Hot water and water pressure was a plus. The restaurant serves great food, but is only serving until 5pm. They have lounge chairs and massage on the beach. It was a perfect break in our 3 week trip. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

The hotel was in a nice location off the beach, however our bungalow was one of the furthest away. The room was very basic and a little bit dated but overall clean. The staff are so friendly and eager to please. We arrived well before check in and they were able to get us into our room early.

Area exactly what we wanted: quiet, relaxing. Amazing beach cafe next door (Chill Out Cafe). Massages on beach: very reasonable. On Thursday nights, the Maenam Walking Street is steps away. The bed pretty much faced the glass door, had to draw the curtains to get privacy. Rooms were a decent size. There was a fridge. Bathroom was basic. Floor got pretty wet when we showered. Shower area was sunken by an inch at most, shower curtain didn't do much to keep water out of the toilet area. Resort very earth-friendly. Key card needed to power in room, toiletries are organic, they only change towels and sheets on request. Service was just OK. Little interaction & they were a bit more stand-offish than we'd experienced elsewhere. Also, I had to use the phone to confirm pickup for the ferry, pretty much got the third degree from the owner. I get they don't want you making overseas calls, but I had shown him the local phone number, should've been enough. No staff at desk before 8AM or after 8PM. Paths not well lit. We ended up carrying a flashlight at night to avoid stepping on snails and millipedes. Good stay and reasonable price. If I return to Koh Samui, will probably stay in Maenam again, but will likely try a different hotel, I'm sure there are others that can offer the same or better experience.

This was by far the nicest place on the entire island. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The kitchen was top rate French cuisine for breakfast and lunch. I liked that they do not serve dinner as it gave the staff a break and time to be with family, while we got to experience the neighborhood and restaurants on the beach. We do not recommend Sea One restaurant that is down the beach about 100 meters. Hacienda's beach is gorgeous and quiet. If you want chill, this is it!
