A Place at the Beach

We had a great stay. On the beach, lots of amenities, outdoor pool with a slide, indoor pool and hot tubs, right down the road from Fort Macon and a short drive to the Aquarium. Would recommend 👍

Unit was clean. Everything worked as expected. Furnishings and appliances dated.

It was well kept.

It was very nice resort all pools closed at 6 after a 4 pm check in and even put put everything closed was kinda disappointing but water slide was cool.. Long Walk from dock to beach I would give 7.0

The property had a lot of fun amenities. The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean, and the price was worth the stay.

Property is dated, but location is amazing!

The place is really nice it has everything that a family needs in and out side pool, has basketball court, soccer goals a playground tether ball the options are endless my family and I had a wonderful time it has beach access too and it’s private so it wasn’t crowded at all it was over all a great experience

Great location, lots of amenities. Rooms are slightly dated but clean and very comfortable. Check in after hours was easy.

What a wonderful spot! On the beach and have plenty of options to do onsite too! From the beach to mini golfing, it has it all. I loved it and plan to come back every year for vacation!

This was our second time staying at A Place at the Beach and we loved it. We love how it is right there at the beach and how they have a playground area and indoor pool, since we have a 2.5 year old. The staff is very nice and helpful when we asked questions. We will definitely be back! :)

For a place that is supposed to be ocean front; I was disappointed. Too much distance for me. Otherwise, a nice older place.

Wonderful accommodations! The 2 bedroom condo was perfect. The staff was great. Will definitely book again!

Had a nine hole miniature golf course which we enjoyed. Staff in the office was excellent. Indoor Hot tub and pool was well maintained. However the indoor pool area in winter needs less ventilation. The pool water was warm around noon by late afternoon it was basically too cold to get in to enjoy it.

Nice quiet beach getaway location.

My spouse and best friend loved the property, so nice to have a pool and beach so close. Condo was clean and had all cooking supplies. We will be investing in this property in the future.

I like the idea of the place, having a resort feel with beach access. But it fell short of my expectations. I instantly felt uncomfortable and had buyer's remorse once I stepped into the room. This place but particularly our room needs a complete makeover update, from the carpet to the appliances, to the balcony, and the bathroom.

When checking in staff were rude and not accommodating at all. When arrived went to pull out the trundle bed and found Cheetos on bed. Our room was very outdated and old and dirty and mold in room. Was given 2 rolls of tp for a week stay and when asked for more was told they only supply a starter pack. Went to look for ice you had to purchase that. Went to use gas grills which are next to the indoor pool and those wouldn’t start. Went to go in the indoor pool for the hot tub and there was a dead roach in there. Have to say would not recommend or return.

Unfortunately, when we arrived (after office hrs) due to long travel, our room packet was not in the drop box. We were tired, exhausted and just wanted to start our vacation. It turns out that they gave our room to someone else who apparently had the same first name. Only person onsite was a security guard who was only 3 days on the job. He didn't have a key to access the other drop boxes to check if maybe it was accidently put in another location. We finally got a hold of a remote manager. She initially offered us a smaller room and I refused. Then she came up with an "emergency" room that they hold for such occurrences (should have offered that first). It was not a great location nor view but we accepted. The rest of the vacation was fine but not a great start and felt we should have received some compensation for our troubles. Never got a follow up phone call either. Customer service and check in process needs improvement as these mistakes shouldn't happen these days. Not sure if I will stay here again.
