Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Anchorage Airport

Place was a dump. Had a fire that morning. No power. I went somewhere else

This hotel is is not like what is in the photos. About half of the exterior of the building has a safety barrier to keep people away. Since there is no active construction, I assume the city has some concern about the safety of the public. The building is very dilapidated. The front door glass is cracked. The door is always locked. There is a phone number posted to call to be let in. There are multiple inoperable cars in the parking lot (flat tires, missing parts). Homeless people hang around the parking lot. The listing advertised a free continental breakfast, but there is no breakfast. The interior halls are full of appliances, mattresses and furniture stacked against the walls. There were no towels. There is no phone in the room to call the front desk. I walked to the front desk to ask for towels twice before getting one. I was led to the laundry room where there was a mountain of dirty towels and one washing machine going. The staff live there and pulled a towel out of their own bathroom to give me. In my room was an old dented refrigerator with a noisy fan that kept me awake all night. The direct tv box was not hooked up to the tv. Just sitting there. I had to hook it up to get it to work.

I didn't like how long it took to pickup from the airport. However, the two things I really didn't like were the noise and lack of service in the morning. We heard everything all night since the walls were so thin and when we went to get a ride to the airport, the person ignored us for 15 mins. It is also not a super safe area, so I wouldn't take my kids back there again.

The 1st room they had put me in after paying a whopping over $733! The toilet didn't flush, the heater didn't work, the bedding was filthy dirty, and not just that, everything was dirty! The 2nd room they transferred me to, was better than the 1st one. But STILL dirty. I had mopped it like 6 times, with my own mop, as i was disinfecting all the rooms, low and behold, i found a used syringe 💉 in the bathroom where the klennex was supposed to be. And as i was sitting using the toilet, i seen something moving on floor, it was a cockroach!!! Gross!

We liked the very helpful staff and they were very accommodating toour hyper 60lb puppy, who has been in the car for hours!

I had to ask to have the room cleaned. It was obvious the room was dirty.

This property was very convenient for me and had a full kitchen. The staff was very nice and accommodating

Fantastic.

Back the place was drug infested half it was burnt down. The front door was locked door pedestrian is walking around everywhere did not rent here.

We checked in after midnight and asked for a noon checkout which they consented.

This hotel was horrible. Cops showed up 4 times throughout the night. Homeless people will sneak in and will knock on your door! The companies websites said free breakfast its a lie. If you want oatmeal $8 for a cup same as cereal. I wish this company will go out of business

Spenard is pretty much the armpit of Anchorage with it's inebriates and skanky hookers so if that stuff bothers you check out the downtown 3rd.Ave hotels

Shocked that Expedia list this property. Should have walked out. Pull into a half burned out building. Nasty carpets, smokey rooms. No elevator, complained to walk and fight it out with my cc company, then miraculously was offered a slightly better room on the first floor. Don’t stay here.

We stayed at this hotel for a day before our Alaska cruise. The hotel was not even close to as advertised. One half of the hotel complex had a serious fire and was boarded up. That part of the hotel was occupied by homeless people. Our room that we were assigned was being used by someone else when we checked in. We found the room occupied and the bed un-made. There were holes in the walls and the room as dirty. We told the front desk and they gave us another room. The room was not occupied but the condition was the same as the first room they gave us. The included breakfast was straight from the local costco and there were only 2 seats for our group to sit. Our flight was cancelled the day before due to bad weather and we called the hotel to let them know. They told us it would not be a problem. we found out when we got back that they charged us for 2 nights and for two rooms. Not happy at all with the experience and we have had no luck with getting a refund for the unused night.

The person at the desk thay gave me my room key . Assign me to another person's room.I was with my husband and my child.When I opened the door there was a naked man standing in the room having him time . when I went to the front desk.They didn't even bat a eye and just gave me a new room which was not a lovly room .didnt apologized didn't say nothing

Conveniently located 5 minutes from the airport. However, they are currently under rennovation.

Stay here weekly.

The room was huge!! Fulls size kitchen, spacious bedroom and big bathroom. It was phenomenal!! The only negative was the vending machines.

Loved how easy it was to checkin and friendly the staff was
