3 night stay. The best I can say about this hotel is that the room we were in was "tired". Lots of wear & tear here & there. Crud in the corners and some dirt & dust everywhere. Nicks, scratches & stains. We loved the creekside room but the curtain in front of the patio door was quite distressed and the screen was off the track and appeared broken. Tried opening the slider door the first night and the room filled with flies -- yuk. Didn't even try second night. Third night was very cool so we tried again and could listen to the creek. The sink drain flowed so sloooowly that you had to pulse the water flow so the drain could catch up. Shower control was mounted off at an angle so you could get either very hot water or just warm water. Had to hunt down somebody each evening for replacement towels, something happening everywhere in the hotel industry lately. Location was fantastic for our needs. Idaho Springs was great for food and services. Overall a good stay for the price but with some faults.

This motel was very old, and we understand it can be hard to update these types of places. Our room was very clean, but we had read other reviews that their room was not. We did enjoy the river right outside our room, but a tear in the screen did not allow us to keep the sliding glass door open. The power went out twice during the night, which may not have been something they could control. Idaho Springs didn't have a lot of hotel choices, so this sufficed.

Perfect location across the road from the bike park. Quiet and the creek added some charm. Will stay here again.

I’m surprised at all the good reviews. Our room was musty, smelled like old cigarettes. The cobwebs were gross. Chunks out of the wall. The door lock was not ever put in correctly so we can’t lock the door. Under the chair loos like it hadn’t been cleaned for years. I guess only smokers stay there because the only amenities was places to smoke outside. The river is pretty but it’s a small portion of this old dirty property. Will never bring my family again. Spend the extra $10 and stay somewhere cleaner.

The room had a nice balcony overlooking Clear River. The paint and stucco were peeling on the exterior of the building, exterior staircase seemed unsafe, room chairs were dirty, dirty-old couch outside on landing, TV had lines in it, the toilet tiles were broken and loose around the base of the toilet due floor rot. The room was quiet and had a good shower.

Nice view of the river from our balcony. The beds were comfortable. The ice machine worked great. However, the rooms need updating and the room prices are a little high for what you get. But, overall it was a good stay and a nice walk to downtown.

The river is very peaceful in the mornings- a great price for being located on the river. Great location m, clean and the owners are very friendly.

This is a gem. Sliding window/door, walk out to a great view of a small river. Chairs are set up on a small patio for a comfortable view of the river. Easy walk way down to the river where more chairs are set up for a relaxing time. The room could use a little renovations. The wall paper was peeling.

I booked this place totally last minute and didn't have much of a choice for this small town. The outside needs some love. They had dirty couches outside. Our room. It looks like they tried to upgrade but we had holes all over, like they moved mirrors and didn't bother covering the old ones. Carpet may not have been vacuumed. I dropped my mascara brush under the desk and picked it up w dust and a bunch of hair!! I just trashed it after. The balcony would have been nice w a great creek view but it was full of dust spiders and bugs! The good. Clean beds and restrooms.Location is great. Staff was very nice.

Quaint

This place is awesome. May not be a five star so adjust your expectations but if you want an amazing place right on clear creek with everything within walking distance with the bonus of great staff and….did I mention the river is right out the door??? I will definitely be coming back.

The creek side room was so worth the slightly higher price. Sitting on the balcony, eating breakfast with the creek in sight and bird song was lovely.

Great location - located in the middle of town and everything is walkable. Staff were very nice! Also has a river that runs behind the property. Overall stay was great. The hotel is old and dated. But it’s a great place for the money!

The place is run down. Mold in the bathroom, musty, stains on the walls, screens doors won’t slide and have gaps, moths/bugs, ceiling is cracked and falling down, bed has 2 pillows which if lucky could be compressed to 1 passable. Do not recommend.

It was a quiet area with a river right outside my room. I wish I had had the time to sit outside and enjoy the location!

The staff was friendly and kind, the beds were comfortable, and amenities were as advertised.

Liked the balcony overlooking the creek. King bed was comfortable. Room smelled musty upon entry. Bolster on bed was stained, carpeting felt sticky and stained socks that were worn in the room.
