Amazing stay! You can tell that the owner cares about the place and their guests. Service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and do their best at making sure your stay is pleasant. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

The biggest gripe I have is even though the breakfast starts at 7:00 (which is later than a lot of places) there was no coffee available until around 7:30 on the 28th

The hotel staff were amazing especially the young gentleman who checked us in and was there every morning to greet us with a great smile and wonderful personality!! Breakfast was fantastic loved the omlets and great coffee!!!

The hotel seemed a bit shaby on the outside, but inside the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked and the water in the shower was hot. What more could I ask for?

Unfortunately, not at their fault, they had a water heater malfunction that was being repaired. In the meantime, they had a temporary backup installed that was not sufficient to handle the capacity needed so the water was just warm. The clerk was very understanding and explained things very well. The owner recently passed away and his heirs were in the process of updating and improving the place. One could see the efforts being made. We chose this facility because of its location to family just around the corner. It is very near the fair grounds as well. We would continue to use this facility in the future. One thing I must say (although did not make use of it) is that they now have free long distance telephone calls to anywhere in the US and Canada. I hope they put back the coffee makers in the hotel rooms as we needed to leave earlier than their free breakfast, but they did have coffee and soda fountain in the lobby at no charge for their guests.

The people were nice. The room was clean with no evidence of bed bugs or other nasties. The hotel is dated. The nearby train did run by. The room was warmed up for us when we arrived.
