Best Western The Inn At The Fairgrounds

Everything was as expected. The front desk lady was not very friendly, but the room was clean and comfortable and it was in a good location for the concert we saw.

Front desk employee not very friendly. I felt like I was bothering her. I couldn’t understand her. I probably would not stay here again.

Uncomfortable mattress, impolite staff, unavailable restaurant. I’d recommend finding other arrangements.

We were there Wednesday. Check in is at 3pm. We got there at 1:50. Yes we know it's early. But we stay in a lot of hotels here and there and if we were early like this they would ok to check in. We drove 4 hrs. The guy at the desk was.very rude. Gave us an attitude didn't even say hi or anything.. just my name and he tells us it's to. early to come back at 2:30. I said we drove 4 hrs and were tired. Just wanted to shower and rest before we went to the game..nope no compassion. So we basically just drove around for 45 minutes. Went back it was 240 and the same thing. No hi nothing just name for the room. We got to the room. The AC was off. It was 90 degrees outside. So it was a little stuffy and warm.. we turned the AC on..In a few minutes we know why, it was loud and rattled and made this other awful sound. The fridge wasn't working at all. The sheets had stains and the one pillow case. We were going to ask for another room but didn't want to go through asking this guy for anything..so we figured it was only one night. And we weren't going to be in the room much except to sleep. The shower was good..nice pressure..But the shower curtain could definitely needed to be washed. They have free breakfast from 6am to 9am..we were there a little before 8am. Omg the worst breakfast we have ever had in a hotel. Worst!!. There was hardly anything left. No mix for waffles. The tray had eggs and sausage patty in was empty..the orange juice was so watered down no milk for coffee or cereal.

Checked in right at 3pm, first in line so quick check in. Walk into our room, 103, and I can smell marijuana. I don’t care. Doesn’t bother me, but I don’t want a smoke fee. My wife lets the clerk know who then shakes her head and says “not possible. This is a smokeless facility.” It was mentioned as a courtesy not to in returned be made felt like a liar. The bed closest to the window sinks in the middle and there are multiple brown stains on the box spring at the head of the bed. Really unfortunate experience for $350.

Easy to walk to concert from site, bed was nice, tub did have some stains, but overall, good experience

We just stayed overnight but it was very comfortable.

Property was clean and modern. Only restaurant extremely expenive. All automatic doors not working . Property refused to provide checkoit receipt even though had taken credit card at check in. Property refused to follow Expedia's stated policy. Broken closet door in room. Very minimal and poor breakfast buffet. Scant staff even though front desk claimed hotel fully booked. Would definitely not reccomend.

I loved the Daniella's restaurant, shoes stuck to the floor a bit though. Breakfast was uneventful. Cig butts all over the ground outside, kind of gross.

Clean comfortable

The exhaust fan in the bathroom runs all the time with no way to turn it off. This pulled cold air in through the heater/AC system and during the first night the heater ran a lot causing the air to dry out. I woke up with a dry throat and itchy eyes. The next night, when we had to use the AC, the room was better. Although it was not the worst hotel mattress I ever slept on it was close. I think the mattress needs to be turned 180 degrees?? The pool was very nice. A little cool for most people but that is the way I like it.

The room was missing furniture. There was no chair or table. It felt like half of it was empty. We played cards on the nightstand we moved to double as a table. It was the king suite with the tub. Definitely was not imprressed, kinda disappointing.

This property advertises as "pet friendly" but it is not ! When I checked in I was informed that it was a $ 40 a NIGHT per pet fee. I stay with pets all of the time and have never had such an expensive fee. The women at the desk then told me to make sure my dogs never bark barking is not permitted! The pet fee is hidden in the fine print on their ad. When checking out they refused to give me a printed receipt . I would not recoms staying here

The younger girl at the desk was wonderful. The manager and other lady there have some scam ring going on there. I had book a room for 3 nights through Expedia. After 1 night there I went back to my room and the key wasn’t working. I went downstairs and they said I was suppose to have checked out. I said no and showed them my Expedia email. Which they bushed off and said they only had 1 room left and I panicked and paid for another two nights. What should have happened after I said is there something wrong with your system with my phone still showing the email oh let me call Expedia. Which is not what happened I had to call expedia and was told they needed to call them. They eventually did and told me I was right I did have the room booked for three nights. After being told I would get my refund my credit card company started flagging stuff. So I had to cancel my card and get a new one. The morning of check out they left a charge so that way I couldn’t leave until it was paid. Trying to get more money out of me. The girl that was there that morning was wonderful she told me that the computer said my room was booked for 3 nights and that she wasn’t sure why they made me buy 2 nights. She also said not sure why they are charging any extra fee. She fixed everything and I was able to leave without paying for that random fee. I was also not the only person getting scammed

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and amenities. Easy access to highway and Syracuse Fair grounds for events. Would recommend for travel.
