Cambria Hotel New York - Chelsea

The property needs updating. The rooms are a bit tattered and the mattress is very springy and squeaky. My HVAC kept turning off and not restarting without a call from maintenance.

Rooftop is a big bonus

A wonderful little hotel smack dab in the middle of rows of florists and great eats. Steps away from the subway line & Citibikes. Hospitable and clean. A new favorite.

Was a great start, unexpected delay due to parade the day we needed to check in. Perfect location, close to tume square broadway 5th ave empire state building all walking distance.

The staff is very accomodating. The location is perfect, everything is walkable. Its true what you read about "only the 2 elevators", but we never had an issue going up or down.

Horrible stay and tI by didn’t return my security deposit still.

We have been staying at the Cambria since 2018, and have always appreciated the high level of service received. There was a manager there over all those years who was especially great at being warm and welcoming. We usually make great efforts to stay at the Cambria, even when it is priced higher than some of the other options in the neighborhood. Our most recent trip left us disappointed. The gentleman who checked us in was professional and kind. However, when we went to make a request at the front desk later on, the gentleman who spoke with us on the evening of June 19 was unnecessarily rude and condescending. We were just returning from a wonderful performance at the Met, and his demeanor really put a damper on our evening. While we would consider staying here again because we understand every operation can have an off day/bad apples, we will no longer make an effort to book solely at the Cambria, and will certainly consider other options (of which there are plenty).

Very small rooms and very very small bathrooms. The bathroom door just opens to the bed

The room was cold without the option to turn off the a/c or change the temperature on it. The ice machine is incredibly loud and a disturbance throughout the night. The shower space has broken and loose tiles. However, the staff was excellent and friendly and the location of the hotel makes attractions walkable.

This hotel was a hidden gem! Although it was small, it was impeccably clean and easily accessible. The property itself was beautiful, adding to the overall charm of the stay. What truly made the experience exceptional was the staff—they were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help. Their hospitality made all the difference. If you're looking for a cozy yet spotless hotel with outstanding service, this is definitely a great choice!

The hotel was perfect for our short stay. They accommodated changing to 2 queen beds since my son decided to come on short notice. You can see the world trade tower from the roof deck. Bath had an unpleasant smell.

This property was attractive, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The roof top bar was great for a nightcap or late afternoon glass of wine after a busy day. Best of all, I received several texts from hotel staff throughout my stay, checking to confirm that I had what I needed.

Sstaff was very accommodating and nice.

The rooms in the hotel are very small but the bathroom is absolutely horrendous. The door to the bathroom almost hits the toilet. You cannot get out of the bathroom with the door open without hitting the toilet. If you put the bath mat down the door cannot open and close. It is in a grungy neighborhood. There is no bellman, no restaurant, no food whatsoever. Our room was not cleaned one day, we asked for towels at 10:30pm and only received one. They did make a small Financial discount when we left for this. We were told it was in a certain neighborhood but it was not in the neighborhood as advertised. Would never stay there again. The front desk people however are very nice.

I had a lovely stay here while in town for work - the staff were very nice and checked in via text to make sure all was well, which I appreciated. The rooftop was also really sweet and we enjoyed being in the Flower District as Spring sprung and the flower shops were in full bloom 🌸
