This hotel messed up our reservation— our room wasn’t ready and they downgraded our room and still tried to charge for the same amount without offering anything complimentary or even an apology.

The hotel was so beautiful! We really enjoyed the fitness area where we got to relax in the sauna and steam room. The room itself had a great sized bathtub and comfy bed. Would absolutely come back here!

Room selected was not available, staff and manager unkind and not helpful to even attempt to make it right. Worst customer service. Have stayed at the San Diego Fairmont property before, which was amazing, this was the absolute opposite experience.

The property is dated and the hotel is understaffed other than the front desk. Restaurant, bar and convenience store are all understaffed. Dirty tables, with leftovers are sitting there for extended time and service is very slow.
My husband was very disappointed about his staek for $105.

The parking lot was so full I had to park half a mile away and walk uphill to the lobby. In the dark. There were no entrances to the hotel near where I finally found parking. Even valet parking couldn’t take my car. I’m a heart patient. I got charged $35 when I left the parking lot for the day.
I couldn’t make use of the restaurant because of the other functions going on at the hotel. No mini bar. No soda machine. No Eggs Benedict. No nothing. My stay there was a complete nightmare.

The rooms are old for a Fairmount. The pool and gym were excellent.
I typically stay here for thanksgiving and have been doing this for the last 6 years and have noticed the hotel needs an upgrade. The valet guys were excellent very friendly and helpful. Ask for a room close to an elevator. I was given a room far away from the elevator #558.
