Comfort Inn & Suites Carbondale on the Roaring Fork

Kind of a bummer not to have an elevator. Signage to find the lobby and breakfast area in the hallways would be helpful. Beds were comfy and room was nice and clean. Breakfast was great and pretty flowers to enjoy on the breakfast room patio.

Pool was very small. Jets in hot tub didn’t work. Also not a fully accessible hotel, as there is no elevator. Not a big deal, but it was tough dragging our luggage to the second floor. Excellent breakfast!

Great place to stay

The hotel pictures to say the least, looked nothing like the pictures advertised. I found a cockroach in our bathroom and there were some stains on the trimming of the bed. We were definitely expecting something different based off the pictures provided. After discussing with my family none of us slept very well either.

Close to the wedding venue, walkable to downtown.

The beds were very comfortable, the sheets were very soft, pillows were just the right puffiness and multiple pillows which I appreciate. The pool and hot tub area was clean and the hot tub was just what we needed. The breakfast the next morning had a great variety and was very tasty. The perfect ending to a great stay.

This is a very clean place and the rooms are nice for the price.

Check-in went smoothly with no issues, which was a great start. However, things quickly took a turn. That evening, I took my son to the pool, only to be repeatedly splashed by water due to other guests' children jumping in—despite clear signage prohibiting it. Their behavior was disruptive enough that another family eventually left the pool area. I tried to report the issue to the front desk, but no one was available at the time, which unfortunately wasn’t surprising. The next day, I returned to the front desk to follow up. After waiting, a staff member named Shaniya finally emerged from the office. I shared my concerns, but her response was dismissive—she stated that pool use was "at your own risk" due to the absence of a lifeguard, and that nothing could be done. I pointed out the posted rules against jumping, but she simply said for me to take a card and directing my concerns elsewhere. I left the conversation feeling unheard and frustrated by the lack of empathy. Later, while on our way back to the hotel, I called to request housekeeping. I was told flatly that it wasn’t possible because the staff was busy. I was offered fresh towels and trash removal instead, but when we arrived, nothing had been done. We had to go to the front desk ourselves to get clean towels, and my son ended up emptying the trash. This was far from the experience we had hoped for.

Lovely, green property that sits above the banks of the roaring Fork River. Well, situated in Carbondale with easy access to Glenwood, basalt, snowmass, and Aspen Travis B , the maintenance manager was very helpful and available on site. Kudos !

Location was great, right next to the river and walking trails.

The breakfast wasn’t very good. The eggs were cold, fruit was over ripe and the toaster didn’t work. The waffle maker did work fine.
