There were a lot of homeless people out front and the but the room is nice and clean

The room was little dim (I was trying to do some work). I managed to prevent myself from taking the lampshade off of the desk lamp. The breakfast included sausage, eggs, fruit, juice, bread and I just did not want to eat it. But it was there if you needed it. The hotel is really old and the hallway rug seemed pretty worn out. But if you just need somewhere to stay for a day or two, there are plenty of restaurants around, like Anita's

If going to Reston, this hotel is very convenient. We walked into the main shopping district for dinner and shopping. It was a mile walk but great sidewalks and easy crosswalks to get across some of the busier side streets. The breakfast buffet was better than expected and when they ran out of items, they cooked up more. Bed was comfortable. I'd stay there again for half the price of the hotels right in the middle of Reston.

Personnel @ front desk most helpful & attentive!
Unfortunately, this a.m., l discovered, that the frig freezer was broken when l went to retrieve my dry ice packs & they had defrosted; l alerted the front desk gal @ checkout.
Except for that, both the sitting & bath rooms were clean & comfortable

I gave this property 3 stars, only because it was quiet, and the gentleman gave me a free upgrade when I checked in. Otherwise, it would’ve received 1 star, at best. We got to the room and it was a jacuzzi suite, which was super nice of him! But, the jacuzzi did not work. There’s a fridge, but that was running at about room temp. We did get a great nights sleep. When I went to check out, I told the lady at the desk, who seemed irritated that her doomscrolling on her phone was interrupted. All she told me was that she will let maintenance know… no apologies, nothing. It was a free upgrade so I couldn’t ask for any money back, but…… I guess that’s how it goes.

We were here for an event and stayed for 2 nights April 25-27,2025 and experienced the following:
1) the tv remote did not work
2) had to reset both door keys 3 times which was frustrating when you are tired and cannot get in at night.
3)room smell moldy and affected my husband asthma. Not sure if it has to do with the air conditioning being off when you checked into the room.
4) no food left for breakfast if you come after 8 am even though it is from 7-10 am.
5)no towel at night. Was told you have to wait until the next morning.
