District Hotel

There were pigeons flocking and pooping on the ac unit and the smell and other debris entered the room. Had the worse allergies over the 4 days. The water pressure in The shower was so low that i could not rinse well. The rooms are not much larger than the small bed so no place to settle in. Outlets are in bad locations so you would have to hop over cords to move around the small spaces left.

Good comfortable bed, basement room. Quiet, basic room.

All good over all, only thé night we arrive the guy at the reception was a little drunk , Not a big deal

The building is old and the room was tiny, but it was clean and met my needs for 3 nights in town for a conference.

* Hotel was good for pricing in DC. * There is no SECURE luggage storage, and you must leave it at your own risk. * Check-in is 4PM--late by normal hotel standards and there's no consideration if you arrive a bit early. * Staff is friendly, but not accommodating at all. International traveler (12hr+ in flight) waited 6+ hrs in foyer with his luggage. * Hotel is dated: carpet missing in sections * Room is clean * Bed mattress is soft. * We were worried about reviews with bed bugs. But there were none in our room. * Great location * Great rate for short stay.

The room was very clean. The staff was friendly and checking in and out was very easy. The building itself is very old and lacks any time of design aesthetics. I felt like I was staying in someone's basement. I only need a place to crash overnight before I went back home so it served its purpose. The price I thought was a bit high for what you get but was the best value for the area.

Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Allowed us to leave baggage there before check in time. Family atmosphere. Will return. Room was small but had everything we needed and spent $ doing activities, not on a big fancy room we didn’t need.

The room was small, as expected, but had run down furniture and no bedspread. The bathroom was clean and had nice towels. The window AC/Heat was above the head of the bed and was incredibly loud.

Property and room were fine. Noisy restaurant next to room and loud elevator bell woke us up quite often during the night

Beds were comfortable. Some of the staff weren't inviting. No extras.

The reception area may be a little dated, but the room was exceptionally clean. I'm sensitive to highly scented products and this is an issue for me when traveling. So this room was very clean and did not have the scent of sent cleaning products and I was so grateful! All staff that I encountered were lovely to work with. Couldn't get a late checkout, but I guess you can't expect that. In a busy part of a big city so the rooms are relatively small and you can hear what's on the other side. That is to be expected, especially in my price range. Overall, would recommend.

Prime Location with a Hospitable, Accomodating, and Kind Staff. Only thing worth note is my shower head to tub faucet connection was shot so the water coming out of the shower was mostly a dribble. Overall a fantastic stay. Nice, hot coffee in the lobby and a very comfy bed. I recommend popping next door to the restaurant in the neighboring hotel ( The Dovetail ) for great HH specials and another wonderfully hospitable staff. Thank you DC!

It is an old building and although the furniture is old in every single room, it is very clean. My room didn't have any closet to store my clothes for 7 days but I managed to hang them in the bathroom. I really like the location, because it has a 3 min walk to a bus stop that can take you to several places. I highly recommend this hotel. They also serve american coffee everyday and there is access to filtered water fountain, microwave and a toaster.

The property had no way to bring luggage in from the street but but to go up stairs. Very hard to do. Rooms are very small, but clean. Bed was comfortable.

Don’t book! This is not a real hotel! I’m sharing my experience to help others avoid the same situation. This place is absolutely not a proper hotel — it’s clearly a short-stay location, not suitable for vacationers or families. When I entered the room, I immediately noticed that the door had been broken into multiple times, raising serious safety concerns. The place looked nothing like the photos shown online. After speaking with several locals, I was told that this location is mainly used for short encounters, not as a standard hotel. I checked out less than three hours after arriving and had to book another hotel. Despite the circumstances, the property refused to issue a refund. They also ignored The agency’s attempts to contact them, I strongly advise against booking this place. It was an unpleasant and unsafe experience.

Room the size of a prison cell. Walls paper thin. Creeps peeping under my door twice even though place is supposedly video surveilled. Had to barricade door, call front desk , police, and be awake 11pm - 3am guarding the door with a knife. AND NO parking. …… NO WONDER SO CHEAP. Would NEVER stay here again !

The worst of this place is the staff. Front desk people are just the worst.
