DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hollywood Beach

I'm holding Expedia responsible for lack of valid information regarding the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Hollywood Beach. I was not informed of 700$ hold my credit card. The hallways and rooms and floors in rooms were ice cold and management refused to correct situation I got stiff neck from ice cold hallways and rooms and suffered in pain the whole vacation I have been a long time customer and still I cannot find a way to use the one click cash. Expedia fails to give full report on actual conditions of Hotels I will probably switch to Orbitz It's shameful

this is a safe and great location near the beach and shopping. the poor area was amazing. the only thing that i would comment that the rooms need to be updated and painted. Will stay again!

The bathroom hadn't been cleaned, maybe the entire room. When I told the desk, they didn't really seem to care that much about getting it cleaned. I was told I could get fresh towels sent to my room. I said that would be ok. I went out and when I got back still nothing. That was the main negative. Otherwise pretty good.

We stayed for 3 nights. The staff are not very pleasant. The resort fee is a rip off. They don’t control access to the pool, anyone can walk in and as such there’s no chairs for paying guests. There was raw sewage leaking into the gym during our stay and no one cleaned it, just let it pour through the ceiling…we put down 25 towels to try to contain the mess! Very noisy balconies with traffic noise. I oops are dirty. Had to beg for towels and toilet paper.

They need to fix the system in the restaurant for breakfast. Everything is slow and inefficient. The attendant is very slow, eventhough there were many tables available We made a long line to get in (20-25 minutes). Then, another 30 min. to be served. I asked for a late check-out and was denied. The next day, I asked a different lady and was granted.

The beach access is very close, but be sure to find your correct hotel section. The restaurant/bar is OK. The pool area is very nice!!!! The valet parking is exceptional. Many unique restaurants in the area. Shopping is located in areas off this street.

The staff was excellent and genuine in kindness

The WORST experience of my life! The bathroom was dirty and then there was a leak in my first room, then I got moved to another room, there was a defect in the rug and I fell injuring my knee, limping the rest of my stay. The toilet didn't flush, and the AC didn't work. Maintenance was in my room for 45 minutes, while I cried in pain and had an ice pack on my knee. Next night, we went to dinner at the resort, literally got RAW chicken served to me. Rest of the food was under average at best. To add insult to injury, the general manager met with me and my husband and "assured" me a refund once he got through to Expedia. So I contacted Expedia myself, and well, I just got an email from them, and they said that a refund was denied from the resort. I email the manager and he said he was more than reasonable in giving dinner credits and he would be willing to be me credit for another stay. As if I would EVER choose this place again. STAY AWAY!!!!

Nice pool

For the price and resort charges there was literally nothing extra. Pool bar not open during week. Out of food and no shuttle. No water at front desk everyday. Front desk didnt know anything. No help at all. Buffet breakfast was 67 for 2 people.

Staff was very friendly and safe place to stay with kids

Room wasn’t the cleanest other peoples hair were in the bathroom.

Beautiful pool!

I love the location, the view from some of the rooms is amazing but, only the ones on the north side of the building. On the other side you'll only see the building next to it. (Walls) The view from the pool is beautiful. Service is okay. Housekeeping service is not good at all, the shower in my room had black mold, and in one of my stays I didn't get my room cleaned. The beds are very confy and the rooms spacious. Other than the housekeeping service, I love the stays in this Hotel.

Pool

Hotel was great. Fantastic corner king room. Staff were very engaging and curteous. Pool was great and beach was fully available. But Limited restaurant options within a mile. Hollendale beach road was like a raceway much of the time. Very noisy, like downtown Manhatten. No place to walk except along beach. Would never go back to Ft. LAUDERDALE.

Close to beach. Great area .
