Hotel was very clean and it was a lot if stuff to do around the hotel area

For the price of a room, it is just average service and room

This Doubletree property was right in the heart of the Galleria area in Houston with plenty of walkable shops & restaurants. It smelled amazing as soon as you walk in! The agent at the desk checked us in early, gave us cookies/ water & was very personable. Our King Suite had a full kitchen, livingroom, separate bedroom & the best part was the spacious balcony with nice city views. Bed was comfy, but it took a little bit for the hot water to come on in the bathroom. Also, a housekeeper didnt know we were in the room & came to ask us when we were checking out. That was a bit weird, but overall great stay!

Only one elevator worked for the entirety of our trip. Made going to the room take 15-30 minutes each time. Huge pain.

We had a lovely experience and wanted to specifically say thank you to Tracie the bartender for providing friendly and warm service while we visited. Her art for customer service was effortless and very natural.

Everything was great

We liked the size of the room and appreciated the separate room and living areas which was a very important selling point. However, property seems on a declining path. Service is poor, the facilities don't seem clean. An example of the overall experience is summarized in the following situation: We had a suite with a kitchen. The kitchen is not stocked, so one has to call to request the hotel sends the kitchen utensils, pots, pans, silverware, etc. This request was received with a hesitant nature at first. After they accepted the request, someone delivered a plastic VAT of dirty utensils, pots, pans and plates and just dropped it in the room. We had to do our own initial cleaning of their dirty dishes from the kitchen, which we have not experienced in hotels at a fraction of the price. If the kitchen is a selling point, it is a very poorly executed one.

The property is filthy and my room had roaches

Our family had 2 rooms on different floors. The 9th and 12th. The ninth floor smelled like curry in the hallway. And the 12th floor smelled like marijuana. The 12th floor room, balcony door would not lock. Overall, was not impressed with this hotel. I would not choose it again.

Your Managers were excellent helping us sort out the Orbitz booking getting messed up for us. Your team went above and beyond. We really appreciated it.

All good except to crowded for the amount of elevators!
