East Village 2 Bedroom Apartments

I wrote three times to expedia to report a terrible rental on this property. Situated on a second floor of a building, the main bedroom is directly on the street. It could have been ok but people living in the area find the place attractive for some reason and they gathered just at the bottom of the building to smoke, chat and make a lot of noice. That can happened in a rental in New-York. So first people in the main bedroom can not sleep because of the noise. Second we had cockroaches in the second bedroom where were the kids. And third, even though the kids were on the hallway side of the appartement they couldn't sleep because they could hear "animal noises" as described by my 10 years old in the corridor. I let you imagine what it could have been. It is definitively not a rental for a family and definitively not a rental for some rest after a day of visits in New York. I wrote three times to Expedia about the situation, I never got an answer from Expedia neither from the owner of the place. DON'T GO !

Was NOT the two bedroom apartment shown in the pictures. Apartment itself was clean however the three flights of stairs that you had to go up and down were very dirty. Clothes and trash were on the stairs. Neighborhood area didn't appear safe however once we became familiar with the area we never felt unsafe when we were there.

Small walk up steps, 3rd floor. Very little amenities. Cost about equal for hotel. They tried to charge cash for cleaning which is $125.00 Not worth it!!
