The room was clean and pretty quiet. Breakfast was good. Bed wasn't the most comfortable I've slept in but was ok. All in all a good stay for the money

Convenient for highway access, decent price, friendly staff. Room smelled musty, bed not comfortable and overall run down.

The rooms were mostly clean and the beds were comfy. Kimberly at the front desk was very nice. The free breakfast was very weak with very limited items and the pool was closed.

Very old and outdated. Furnishings were rusted. Mirrors were smeared and dirty. The room did not smell pleasant.

Couldn't get tv to work thats it.

I was exhausted and just wanted to shower and go to sleep. The room smelt like cigarettes when i opened the door. I figured that turning on the ac would clear it out, so I took a shower. Still smelled like cigarettes so i cracked the door open. The tv was un hooked, remote was under the chair. Lucky it worked after hooking everything up. The bed was barely made and thought the frame would colaps when I layed down. The elevator was broke and the stairs had duck tape to secure the rubber landings. Just overall dissapointed and didn't want to even start to say anything to the lady at the front desk as she wasn't having a good start to her day.

I reserved a room a month in advance. Travelled across the countrym by to get there, and the staff called me when I was just a few miles away to let me know they had sold my room to someone else. I asked why they did this to me, and the woman told me they commonly overbook to make sure they stayed full. So my teenage daughter and I were left with nowhere to stay, at midnight after travelling all day. We then drove around half the night trying to find another room. FYI, when I was called with this terrible news, i asked why, and the woman simply told me "because thats what we do" and hung up in my face. I hope this place deals with the cockroach and rat infestation soon, before the health department gets wind of it.

Let me start off bybsaying DONT STAY HERE! Extremely dirty, worn out furniture, and very unclean. The bathroom walls were spattered with filth, and the air vent located above the shower was DISGUSTING.

We go to a car show in the Joplin area ever year. We first stayed at this motel 11 years ago and it was freshly remodeled then and it was great. We've stayed at it several time since then. Now the place is kind of a dump. There are plumbing issues, you can see water damages from pipes leaking on the ceilings. The bathroom doors have holes that were punched in them patched by what you can assume was a 3 year old and the covered with paint. Paint doesn't hide globbed on drywall joint compound. LOL When I checked in they were pushing a discount at Denny's for breakfast. After coming to the lobby I now know why. They have eliminated most of the things that they literally show in their breakfast area. My wife will only eat cereal for breakfast, they eliminated it. They also eliminated having milk too. She thought that she could at least get a cup of coffee, but the coffee was empty. They also eliminate having any juice, the picture on the website shows apple and orange juice dispensers. They need to change the picture of what's in the breakfast area, since most of it isn't there. Quit saying that you have a breakfast, you really don't. Obviously we won't be staying there next year.

Started out with the host asking for money when I already payed. The tv didn’t work. When I pulled the sheets down there were stains and BODY hair all over! The shower wouldn’t drain. Switched rooms for the second night and woke up with 10 bites on me. I am just sickened about my stay, so much so that I am 40yrs old and this is the very first review I have ever written in my life.

It was a pretty bad experience, we didn’t expect much, but the pool was shut down which I feel like they should let you know that ahead of time and the free “breakfast” was pitiful!

Needed bigger tools in shower

I booked my room on hotels.com at 8:40pm Friday 3/21/2025 for Saturday 3/22/2025 checking out Sunday 3/23/2025. I arrived at Econolodge shortly after 6pm Saturday. The check in process was done professionally by someone who had only started their employment two weeks ago. But my teenage son and I were checked into a single king bed nonsmoking room. I reserved a standard double bed nonsmoking. I went back down to the front desk and informed her of the room error. I was originally told hotels.com erroneously let me book it despite it not being available, but then in the end I was told the hotel simply didn’t confirm if previous guests had checked out or not, to even clean a room to be made available for me. I have a full 2-min video I documented of my final checkout.

The room was tidy but not clean- toothpaste stuck in the sink when we arrived, hair in the tub, trashcan still had paper in it. The breakfast was lacking everything- nothing to drink but coffee only thing to eat were a few muffins and a couple sausage patties. However when asked about it, the employee stated they were waiting on the truck to come?? They apologized and directed us to the vending machines. This was 7am. I will not book here again.

Great clean room although rest of property is a little dreary and looks a little run down. Staff was very kind and friendly but the person that checked me in said it was her first night alone and it was pretty obvious. However the stay was very pleasant and quiet.

The whole place needs major refurbishing. The fire hoses and extinguishers were missing. Wall plates in halls broken and holes in walls. Stairs taped. In wall heater/ac filthy filter. Bathroom counter/faucet dirty. TV remote was dirty. And the breakfast???? Had sausage patties and eggs. No bread, pastries cereal.

I book my stays based on breakfast being included so we don't have to hunt for a restaurant and being able to get a first floor room as I am disabled. breakfast was semi-dry scrambled eggs and spicy sausage. At least the coffee was very good.
