Quaint hotel with kind and helpful staff within walking distance of shops and harbor. Beds are comfortable and clean, breakfast is filling and plentiful. Only discrepancy is there is no restaurant on site.

This is the 4th year we have stayed here when going salmon fishing. Nice room, great staff, and very good breakfast (although i do miss the singing cook they used to have). Will, no doubt, be back again!

Beds were comfy, television and internet were average the lounge had lemon water and coffee which was nice, ice machine, small fridge and microwave in room. They also served breakfast but we didn’t make it to breakfast. We normally stay at cabins but nothing available this hotel was a pleasant surprise

When checking in the clerk proceeded to tell us that he was not supposed to be working that night but someone called in so there he was. While talking he was spitting everywhere. Our bathroom had trash under the sink and the linens felt dirty. The shower head was rough cuz it looked broken and needed new head. The room was very dusty and we weren’t given instructions on how to turn the tv or there wasn’t instructions on how to use the entertainment in that room. The property probably need a new management team.

I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is dated and in need of updating. Desk clerk was friendly and informative. Coffee in lobby. Breakfast is provided, it we left really early to take the ferry and missed it. Would definitely recommend, places to stay in Valdez is very limited and the price was good.

Staff was very friendly. One of the mattresses in our room must have been older than the other. One was comfortable and the other wasn’t. There wasn’t any tv reception during our stay. The free hot breakfast exceeding our expectations.

Tub seemed slippery, there was a grab bar in the middle of the long wall but nothing to aid getting in or out of the tub. Made me nervous. Cable was out so no tv, guess that may be common for Valdez. Breakfast was an unexpected bonus - scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, bagels, etc., cold cereals and waffles. No other food available at other times of the day. No elevator which I did not ask about in advance. Overall acceptable for overnight.

The was too dark. The room was dated but comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I had the best breakfast ever at a hotel of this level.

This hotel wasn’t bad. It was quiet, room looked nice.
Main problem was our beds were very uncomfortable.
