Hilton Club The Central at 5th New York

Spacious and modern room, friendly staff

We booked our regular room for 7 night stay and the hotel explained Hotels.com downgraded us. So our room was not at all as advertised. We had also booked on a separate reservation an extra night. The same hotel desk agent explained this reservation was an upgraded room as the original should have been. As we had to move for the last night, the upgraded room was even smaller! So either the desk agents have no idea about the property and services or hotels,com is falsely advertising. Either way we booked the same as previously and did not get what was advertised and the hotel passed the buck.

Check Out 10am is too early.

I was in a king studio that was nicely configured and felt roomy. Bed was comfortable and there were no signs of wear and tear. My room was nice & quiet and the heating & A/C were modern! Staff was easily contacted by text, which was a bonus.

We had the most amazing 5 night stay here. It was so convenient and so quiet. Our room was so spacious and roomy with a nice view. The staff was extractive and courteous. We will stay here very time we visit NYC in the future!

Excellent hotel with attentive staff, beautiful atmosphere, and great amenities. The only negative is a bit of pressure to join Hilton Grand Vacations time share.

Overall, a great property! EXCELLENT location to walk to Subway, 5th Ave, Rockefeller Ctr, Times Square & Broadway area theaters. Very nice outdoor patio area off the rear of the lobby. Very comfortable lobby seating area. Christmas decorations were tasteful & cheerful. The downside was with some members of the hotel staff. We had 2 issues w/Front Desk staff & had to escalate to Front Desk Manager for resolution. We also had a highly undesirable communication issue with a particular Hilton Club marketing staff member. He intentionally gave us false information that was designed to help him get credit if we agreed to participate in the Hilton Club sales pitch, instead of another staff member. That, to us, reflects poorly on the entire Hilton brand. It is unfortunate that these staff issues could have been prevented with better staff training in advance. Very clean, quiet & well-maintained property!

We looked for a centrally located hotel near, but not too close, to Times Square. This hotel did not disappoint. Access to theatres, restaurants and the subway are excellent. The room was a good size for New York and we appreciated a room without carpet. The restaurant/dining guide provided was very helpful.

This hotel absolutely lived up to all the amazing reviews. Located just off of the main shopping streets, it's beautiful, modern, clean, with amazingly comfortable beds, and the friendliest staff i've ever encountered in a hotel. It was quiet at night which was impressive considering the busy area it's located in. We stayed 5 nights and it felt like we were "coming home" by the 2nd night. My daughter and I loved it, and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend. eets,

Excelente localización a pasos de la Quinta Avenida. Muy amplias y elegantes las habitaciones. Se siente que fue renovado recientemente. La atención al huésped es de primera al estilo de un hotel 5 estrellas. Los baños son grandes y muy modernos.
