Holiday Inn & Suites DAYTONA BEACH ON THE OCEAN by IHG, an IHG Hotel

My first impression wasn’t great — the check-in process at the front desk was slow, and I didn’t like the extra charge for parking. It’s nice that they have laundry facilities, but you need quarters to use the washer and dryer, so I had to run around trying to get change. The room was clean, but the soundproofing was very poor. There were loud neighbors yelling at their kids, which was really disturbing. The breakfast, however, was tasty and the service was great.

Hotel did not honor the room we booked via Expedia, smelled of urine and marijuana, and was not clean. When entering the room we were greeted with a dirty bar of soap in the shower, sticky countertops, drink spills left on the floors, and hairs in the room. Repair work on the room was very shotty at best with outlet covers not flush with the walls, and visible damage that they attempted to cover up with a poor caulking job. That being said the front desk staff was very nice and apologetic and tried to get us a new room but they were booked up.

Hotel was good, room was updated recently and was great. Parking was a bit of a pain. We had to park across thw street which was interesting crossing during certain times.

This was a wonderful hotel! The staff is very friendly, helpful and very efficient. The rooms were nice but the mini split it in a weird spot because only cools one part of the room instead of the whole space. The bathroom is clean but very hot and humid. The built in restaurant was very delicious with excellent servers but the “free Breakfast” doesn’t allow you to get drinks. The value for the “Free Breakfast” is only $12 per person. Kids under 11 eat free though. The elevators were small and needed to be upgraded a little bit. It took us to the upper floors every time we wanted to go down. We ended up taking the stairs multiple times. The pool is heated and very nice as well as the beach access is wonderful and easy to access. The hotel provides pool towels as well. On the beach, there are food trucks, life guards on duty and chair with umbrella rentals. We actually really liked Daytona it was beautiful, very friendly people and everything is within walking distance.

Rooms weren’t thoroughly cleaned had to ask the desk for towels and body soap because lotion was in the shower not soap.

The young lady was very nice during check in.

Nice pool area, nice oceanfront rom

Stayed 3 nights. Staff was great. Pool , restaurant , indoor & outdoor bar , fire pits , outdoor space was all fantastic. Directly on the beach. Very convenient. Walk to neighboring bars & restaurants.

Everyone was very friendly from front desk to maintenance… Very nice n relaxing. Will be back!!

Great view

The view was great, room was clean. Nothing i didnt like.

The entire staff were incredible. It was the very best Daytona trip I have ever had. The food is reasonable price and is quite good. I love the access to the beach and the pool is heated. I love the fire pits it was a really enjoyable and relaxing weekend. I will definitely stay here again

The hotel was Wonderful in everyway!!! The pool was clean. Some one was always cleaning everywhere. The hotel manager gave us great recommendations for restaurants. The only thing I would change is the pillows!!!

The was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Staff have not been trained in service and hospitality. They even delivered room service in a plastic bag with no utensils from staff that had no uniforms or anything.

Property is in a great location. Convenient to many dining and shopping options in addition to being beachfront. Would stay again. Friendly staff.

Check in was easy and friendly! They brought a crib to the room in a matter of minutes. The room was clean, well-stocked and comfortable. Great location and the pool stairs lead directly to the beach.

Beautiful room 6 th floor. Ocean view, large with a seating area and desk. Loved our room, good location and steps down to beach from lovely pool. Good restaurant on property with reasonable prices. Great staff. Terry and Emily, Susan, Cheyenne very welcoming. Great service.
