Holiday Inn BEAUMONT EAST-MEDICAL CTR AREA by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Upon first getting to the hotel I thought the area wouldn't be the best. It was decent enough and we didn't have any issues. The lady for the night shift check-in very nice and checked me in fast. Overall the loby was in decent shape. Upon entering room 200 it was clean; however, it could use a light remodel in the next few years coming. The bed was super comfy, that was the plus that made the stay comfortable. Down fall was the bathroom. The ceiling was oddly lowered and the wallpaper had been scotched tapped together to stick the seam back together. The problem is the steam in the bathroom had the wallpaper bubbling and looked like it was melting in the whole bathroom. Tubs facucey was super lose as well. The bathroom with some tlc could be fixed but it was the only yucky negative for me.

This hotel is top notch, especially for Beaumont. It was in great condition and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. It’ll be top of my list for hotels next time I’m in town.

The girl who is at the counter throughout the day gives very bad service, she is not friendly, she has a horrible temper, she is not willing to help.

Came in for a special birthday for my uncle. First time I have stayed here since it was built because I moved cities. It did not disappoint. Thank you!

Recent stay consisted of cockroaches in my room. I communicated it to the morning receptionist and she changed my room in her system and reassigned me but did not leave messages or convey it to the oncoming receptionist. As for the oncoming receptionist, I returned that afternoon and she was utilizing her e-cigarette (vaping) right at the front desk. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. IGH International, what a TOTAL embarrasment!

The attendent (Beverly, I think) was very nice and helpful. The hotel had an unpleasant smell. No coffee in the lobby in the morning. Room was good. The experience was ok but don’t believe I would stay there again.
