Holiday Inn Express & Suites CAMDEN-I20 (HWY 521) by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The room carpets was dirty drapes/paper shade could not come completely down I had to put cushion from the sofa at the window for some privacy also the door did not had any security latch so I put a chair behind the door in the event that the door was open I can hear the noise if it open. The next day there was a knock on the door I answer who it is while my door was being open I screamed out the person said sorry I am maintenance he left and later that evening I went to the front desk and reported that incident I was given some lame excuse and that will not happen again. The 3rd day I was sitting watching TV the door open I was not completely dressed so I screamed and cried out and whoever was on the other side of the door went away. I went look at the peak hole and could not see anyone in the hallway. I contacted the front desk I was told by the clerk that she's she just came to work and don't know what's going on I told her that I did not feel safe and I would like check out she said that I paid through a third party I can check out if I want to after that conversation I tried calling other hotels there was no availability. I called the front desk the clerk said that she spoke with her manager and the manager said that no open my room door I asked to speak with the manager and I was told she left for the evening. I decided to call the police department to report the incident. That's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in I will never stay at another holiday in hotel.

Pool was dirty. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Bed comfortable and room nice. It was a beautiful day to sit by the pool but pool was not appealing. Water dirty and turning green. Breakfast was very good

Very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Nice shower head.

Our room smelled like mold/wet dog. TV didn't work in sitting area. A/C sounded like a motorcycle running. Inconveniently had to pack up and move to another accessible room. Smaller, blinds didn't work. Staff was friendly and helpful but that experience in 1st room shouldn't happen. 2nd room was ok but no sitting area, like we paid for. Not great.

Pretty clean ans the water pressure in the shower was amazing.

Convient, safe and cean stay right outside of Camden city limits.

We were in Camden for a horse show. When we checked in the desk clerk was super friendly, and gave us information about our room, its location, and the breakfast schedule. Our room was spacious and I noticed that the toiletries were the Dove brand. Also, our pillows were labeled soft and firm (we had two of each). The bed and bedding were super comfortable as well. Breakfast was great with your standard eggs, protein, yogurts, cereals, breads, coffee and juice. We will definitely choose this hotel in the future.

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in the Columbia and surrounding areas. The room was very comfortable. The staff were nice and welcoming. Everything was extremely clean. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel in the future.

This property is one of 3 main hotel chains in the Camden area, price wise they fall in the middle. My son attends Camden Military Academy, when I visit this is where I stay. My only real complaint is the pool, it’s outdoors so in the off season you can’t use it. It would be nice to have access to an indoor pool. Easy access to nearby restaurants and shopping.

Everything is great!

service- No one could look up our rewards number so we didn’t get credit for our stay. Room cleaners were phenomenal. Comfort- room 302 is next to a mechanical room and it woke us up multiple times each night when some piece of equipment turned on and off. Condition- occasional smell of smoke
