Holiday Inn Express & Suites CHICAGO WEST - ST CHARLES by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Clean, convenient location, incredibly friendly staff!

I am a member. I called this hotel, spoke with a woman explained that I had an emotional pet who is registered, a letter from my physician for my anxiety/panic attacks. She informed me my pet was welcomed. Sadly I didn’t write her name down. We arrive driving from Nashville where the desk lady said we couldn’t stay there. She wasn’t helpful of where there might be a place, never apology about the error on “your part”. Nonverbal communication appeared like it was my fault. Unacceptable behavior.

Stayed here several time for Blockhead outings. Very clean and reasonable and close to a lot of restaurants and shopping.

Staff was nice. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great.

Every went well, just the pool was a bit dirty and Some type of sewer smell coming out of the bathroom.

The room needed to be remodeled. The light switch in the bathroom was broken and you couldn't shut it off, the board on the bathroom were rotted out, the tile in the little kitchen area kept flipping up if you stepped closer to the edge, the AC didn't work very well at all and squeaked a lot. We also didn't get our room cleaned when we asked for it to be cleaned. Also asked for towels and they never came. Had to go get a set of towels. Stayed in a queen Suite, we will stay at another hotel if we are back in the area.

I was expecting a separate bedroom with a door that closed, other than that, the room was very nice!

Property was as expected, a 3-star hotel at a 2-star rate!

When they came to clean our room they only picked up our used towels & emptied the garbage. They forgot to leave us any clean towels. Nothing was wiped down , vaccumed, or sheets changed in 4 days. Needless to say that Housekeeper is no longer at this hotel. Great breakfast, I would probably book here again.

I stayed here because it was convenient to a meeting that I had nearby. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The Breakfast offerings good. If I am in the area again I would stay here.

Large spacious room

The hotel was very clearly full for the weekend. When it is that full, maybe have security for noise control. Doors slamming, kids running in the hall finally slowed down at 1030pm…not too big of a deal, except it resumed to another level again around 1:30AM when people were getting home from the bars. That lasted until 3AM. Then the door slamming and kids running in the halls resumed again about 630AM when we gave up trying to sleep. The breakfast was excellent, the rooms were impeccably clean. It’s a nice hotel but we would have gotten a better nights sleep if we had stayed in our car.
