Holiday Inn Express & Suites PLANO EAST - RICHARDSON by IHG, an IHG Hotel

No hot water for two of the three nights we were there. Pool was shut down by the city (i picked this hotel because of the pool and ive had wonderful experiences with ihg before). No management on site. Manager did end up calling me from home, she was out sick. Engineer was out sick also. Ended up telling me hot water was fixed. I came back at 9 pm after being gone since 8am that morning to find that nothing was fixed. Still no hot water. Took manager to my room the next morning to personally show her that there was no hot water. It ended up being fixed that night when i returned, but i checked out at 3am the next morning. All i was offered was 25% off of my first night. No other compensation for having to take cold showers for two mornings. I will not be staying at an ihg hotel anymore. Rooms next to mines was propped open for my entire stay because pool have overflowed and leaked into that room and it needed to dry out. My room smelled like stale chlorine every time we entered. Terrible experience.

Our stay was excellent and affordable! Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was the best one we’ve ever had at a hotel. There were many choices of high quality food. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying again if we’re back in the Dallas area.

Front desk people are rude. We checked in mid night because of our flight delay. The person who assisted us talked to us rude and didn't answer questions. Cleanliness great. Complimentary breakfast is good.

Pro's: Nice big rooms, the bed was very comfortable. Nice big tv. Breakfast was good, they had a large variety of items and they kept it well stocked. Hotel was easy to get to and from. We were there for doctor's appointments. Con's: Bathtub needs a bath mat, very slick hard to get out. Coffee pot didn't get the water hot. Room had a weird smell when we first entered. AC made a noise off and on all night. Even with the noise we had a good night's rest.

We’ve stayed here multiple times this year due to doctors appointments in the area and love how this is down the road from Methodist Richardson hospital and it’s close by to a lot of dining options. The room is also comfy as well, breakfast is great! This is a clean and safe hotel. We love coming back!

This is a great hotel. It is clean, the room is spacious, bed is comfortable. The location ia right next to the Georgebush tollway so make travel easier. One bad thing to say about this hotel are the front desks. No customer service whatsoever, rude and dismissive.

The only thing we didn’t like was a bad smell coming from the hallway where the elevators are. It might be because of humidity (no air conditioning in that area).

Pros: spacious, comfortable mattress, relatively clean rooms. Cons; The hotel had an African American group of teenager guests and they run, screamed, squealed and slammed doors until 3 am in the morning. Saying that breakfast they was disgusting is an understatement. Highway noise. Front desk people not costumer service inclined. Housekeepers with no manners. Not using Holiday Inn ever again.

Best breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express since the Green Mountain Drive facility in Branson, Missouri. Absolutely excellent!

Good experience

The majn doors lock after 1030ish..I had to wait outside at midnight after a flight for over 5 minutes with practicaly no lighting for someone who wasn't an employee- but a guest open the door from the inside. Then at breakfast you are bot allowed to eat in your room! you have to eat it in the overcrowded loud cafe ( I was going to have to stand up literally) I grabbed a muffin and left. I will never stay here again.
