Holiday Inn Express HARRISBURG EAST - HERSHEY AREA, an IHG Hotel

First time there and will be many in the future

No maid service. Had to ask for fresh towels each day. Wall paper in bathroom peeling away, was stapled to wall, left a hole in corner by drop ceiling.

The stay was good. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Fan on AC/Heat blew black particles out which got all over the bed next to it. Breakfast server was very rude!

It was pretty awesome. We are planning on booking for the whole weekend of Valentines Day.

Hotel was just fine, nothing to complain about, just felt like there was not much nearby or food options. Staff was nice and respectful. Room had everything I needed.

No airport shuttle. The pool is outside so it’s closed in the winter. The place is clean with nice staff but it is showing its age.

Price was reasonable and breakfast offerings were above average. Beds are a bit high for a short person to climb into.

They did not allow me to get the room I booked because I am a resident of this city. They stated that their policy is to not rent rooms to locals. Very weird situation

I didn’t even get to check in. I was told at the front desk that my reservation was canceled by them because they don’t “rent out rooms to locals.” Nobody emailed me or called me to tell me this before I wasted my time. The person at the front desk wasn’t very personable and I came in with a smile on my face. I got this place just to stay away from my home for a couple days due to being in call for work and my house is loud with my teenagers on their video games. It was a terrible experience and waste of my time.

Our room was clean and orderly There were some repairs that had been made, there were some that needed to be done. The table and wardrobe are broken and should be repaired or replaced.

Very easy to access. Friendly check in. Room was clean. A little traffic noise but to be expected due to closeness to Interstate

I could hear the people in the rooms next to me very clearly. I’m sure the towels, sheets, and shower/tub were clean but there were stains and hair on the bed comforter, sheets, and towels. The staff changed the sheets and towels for me though when I asked. Housekeeping staff seemed to be short staffed so that’s not the staff’s fault because they were trying their best with the team that they had. If there was a water fountain with a bottle filler, I didn’t see one and I think they should at least have one near the fitness room. Breakfast options were okay except the eggs. When they did the omelets they were good but when it was just the plain circle eggs, they weren’t great. The bathroom was too cramped. The room lighting wasn’t bright enough and one of the lamps wouldn’t turn on. The couch had a small something orange and looked gooey on the front side of the couch. The thermostat worked really well. I wish the TV had like a chromecast so if you wanted to stream a show or movie on the tv you could. I’m not sure that I will stay in a Holiday Inn Express again.

Check-in service was perfect, fast and smooth. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is very well maintained. I definitely recommend!

Contactless key! Regarding oldness didn’t function properly and I have to ask front desk to come over to fix the issue.

Bed and mattress were clean and comfortable, room was average but has been updated to include multiple USB outlets. Issues with key cards and older system for the rooms. Elevator extremely slow. Good rates and would stay again.
