Homewood Suites by Hilton Cedar Rapids-North

The facility was clean, minus the pool, as it was green. The beds were not comfortable and the mattress cover only covered the top of the mattress, and the cover and sheets kept coming off the bed, which is unsanitary. The breakfast was also not great, but the coffee was the worst I have ever had, they need a new vendor. The full size shower gel, shampoo and conditioner was nice though.

Staff was amazing pool was freezing but nice and clean area nice chairs loved the kitchenette in the rooms so convenient to cook and feed the kids

Wonderful stay, staff was great! We enjoyed the room layout, liked pillow assortment, good mattress and bedding, great toilet flushing pressure, good shower head. Enjoyed the food services, good coffee, everything was great. Our previous two nights in Iowa were at the Hampton Inn Des Moines Downtown and enjoyed that stay as well. However, after comparing the two, we will definitely book future trips with Homewood suites by Hilton.

Very nice suite, with kitchen and separate rooms. Plenty of room and everything we needed.

Overall could be a little cleaner

Bathroom floor and sink had hair on them. The shower door was broken and caulking was dirty. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Everyone working is very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Was able to enjoy spending time with family.

Our refrigerator did not work and maintenance doesn’t work weekends.

Parking lot is one huge pothole

Some hotels are stingy, but this one is generous! We checked in and they offered free appetizers (every Wed), including soup, hummus, and wine. The hot bar breakfast was different every morning - Samantha made delicious food, and was very friendly and accommodating! Everything was clean and roomy. My one little complaint was the cold water in the pool - opted for a nice hot shower instead, which was plentiful with a good shower head. Love that they refill soap dispensers and use real dishes to be more eco-friendly. And we appreciated that there were outlets throughout the room, with charging stations on each side of the bed with room for plugs, USB, USB-C, and a wireless charging pad. It was a great stay!

Cozy place to set up a base of operations for any period of time. Really relaxing and accessible.

Toilet didn't work in first room. 2nd room barely worked. Staff was never available.

Overall this is a very nice hotel, away from the Interstate, and much quieter than a previous hotel we had stayed at several weeks ago that was along side 380 & railroad. Every morning was a warm breakfast/ not continental. Nice pool & exercise room. My only complaint was we booked a handicap room as between my husband & I we have 4 hip replacements. The commode & shower was handicap, but the bed/mattress was lower than the commode, which was a challenge to get out of bed. The towels, bathroom tissue, & sofa cushions could use an upgrade.

We had a really nice stay. The only thing bad I can say is the room could of been cleaner. The breakfast was very good. Never had free breakfast at a hotel that was that nice.

They did not clean the room as stuff was left behind by last guest in spaces out in the open. Hair on the bathroom floor and tub. When we told the front desk they said they would make a note. This was unacceptable. I would have asked for a refund if it was through them personally I booked through Orbitz and don’t know if I could get a refund. Usually never have a problem.

This is the first time I stayed in this site. I truly liked the hospitality and the respect I received. The room I stayed was nice, clen and spacious. The breakfast was good. I will definitely stay there again.

It was updated and had everything we needed.

This hotel is great!! I have stayed there my last 3 visits and will continue to do so. No other hotel compares. The staff are friendly and always helpful. It’s great!!
