There are a couple of things I would like to address before you book here. My stay was terrible… not only did I feel like I was racially profiled but I was rudely woken up about 3 times in the middle of the night by phone calls and our tv did not work… when we checked in to the hotel where were heading to our hotel room and we were asked to show our key car amongst about three white family. I understand that the security has to ask to check your key which is fine but it becomes excessive to where every time when I went downstairs no one was asked but me and my partner. Another incident happened when all the seats were taken in the lobby keep in mind it was like 90 degrees outside in the city heat and I’ve been walking alot and I needed to charge my phone I asked the bellhop if I could charge my phone in the lobby he told me i could sit and charge it that was fine it’s when another man in a suit came toward my partner and I and was told to stand up because he didn’t want to the owner of the hotel to see that we are sitting on the floor yet again there was also another family (white) sitting on the floor and nothing was told to them it made us uncomfortable. This is also my second stay here there first time we got asked excessively about our key card but we thought it was normal. Now that this is my second stay I see that it’s targeted. I will not be stay here again…

Location, location, location. We absolutely loved the location. Walking distance to so many Broadway theatres. A little older style but include decent free breakfast. Only thing we didn’t like was no mini fridge in room.

This hotel is not family-friendly. Super loud- we could've even sleep. No refrigerator. Not even a small one! No table or chairs. The bathroom was super tiny- uncomfortable even for one person. Do not recommend.

There are a couple things I would like to an address before you stay there. During my stay not only do I feel like I gotten racial profiled but there were a lot of thing that were not up to par. While I was charging my phone in the lobby I sat down for a couple mins to the side and one of the door men or security (man in a suit) told me to stand up because he didn’t want the owner seeing that we were sitting on the floor. It was 90 plus degrees outside and my feet were hurting all day keep in mind the day prior and the day of there were white familys sitting on the floor and nothing was told to them. Then when checking into the hotel to get to your elevator yet again the same situation I understand that the security has to ask for the key card but it became excessive to the point when yet again I was asked to show my key card and the three white families did not. We also got rudely woken up by 3 phone calls in middle of the night between the times of 3-5 am and our tv did not work at all.

Overall it was great. When we arrived we were greeted by the staff who helped us with our luggage. When we first arrived into our room it was less than what we expected but the next day I went back to reception to see if we could move and we were sent to the 12flr (from the 4th) and wow! Honestly big upgrade. Met our expectations to 100%.
To pay for breakfast to be included is a bit of a shcam. You still pay but from a ‘special menu’. I wouldn’t do that again. Instead I’d go down the street and buy breakfast at Carve diner. It was the essence of New York including NY accents and great food.
The location CANNOT be beat. It was the best part. When I go back I’d stay there again.

Absolutely fabulous staff and an amazing location to all NYC favorites. The breakfast vouchers were a great perk perfect for dining in the lobby or at a nearby spot. The room with two queen beds was a bit small, with limited space to move around if there are 4 people staying, and could use some updates and better lighting. Still, the overall experience was positive. Would recommend! Thanks to all of the staff, especially Hanniel would handled our check in needs with great professialism.

Great location. The check in was easy. The room was like the pictures on the website. However, There was as sewer smell in the room that we called about three times and it was never really addressed. They sprayed some air freshener however the bathroom still had an odor.

Hotel Edison has to be one of the best locations in the Theatre District/Time Square area to stay. Easy check in, room was comfortable, stayed on 14th floor…room faced 47th Street so you could still hear horns, sirens, street noise. Free breakfast option was excellent with many choices. Front desk staff/bell staff were excellent. Looking forward to next stay in New York there.

Edison hotel is a great place to stay for families and exceeded our expectations! The hotel hits all the buttons, great location, large clean rooms, free grab and go breakfast, wine hour, everything worked and bathrooms were remodeled. Would stay here again!

This hotel is great minus the air conditioning. We couldn’t get it below 76 in our room. Not great for sleep. Would recommend if they updated the air conditioning system.
