Hotel Hi-Ho - Contactless Check-In

Nice location as we visited our daughter at SHU (< 10 min drive). Rooms are modern, comfortable bed and very nice bathroom. Good $$$ value.

Check in was an issue. Had to work with help desk. Never received room code. worked out but stressful.

Cute design. Seemed renovated but aome things still old (dresser, scratches all over it). Beds/pillows great. Hanger was left on the window vallance. It was -10 and wjndow was left open and hear was off. We couldn't even walk on the bathroom floor without laying towels on or our feet would cramp. Sink drained very slowly. No instructions were left anywhere so we had to keep calling service. Nice shared lounge area with access to ice machine (which you need a separate code for, we had to call about this as well). No instructions on how to check out. Overall decent atay but would have helped to have more clear instructions somewhere even by email regarding all amenities, etc.

Convenient, a little smaller than expected but did the job. I'd recommend having a little bigger size of water and maybe a couple of more coffee pots. We were two travelers, and each got one coffee pot. I usually drink a couple of cups of coffees in the morning so the offering was not enough.

Very nice stay. The rooms are updated and very comfortable.

The vibe of the hotel is great, so was the convenience of self-check in. (In fact I didn't receive the check in info by email and I was easily able to reach a human to resolve it.) However there is a restaurant on site that's open to the public and it plays loud music until kind of late. I had to put a white noise machine on to drown it out.

Very chill, quiet, affordable, classic motel right off the Merritt Parkway. Rooms are clean, comfortable and good sized. The on-site restaurant Barcelona is a plus.

This is a simple and affordable place to stay in Fairfield, CT. The check in process is different since they don’t staff a front desk 24/7. Once you get your room and code, it’s simple. Just don’t set the smoke alarm off with a hot shower! 😃

Hotel boasted a lounge area open to guests to bring in food and dine yet no one we spoke to could give us code to access area . We had large family group and rented four rooms for three days . Spend a lot of men but could not get access

The room was okay for the price, but we got woken up by roomservice unlocking our door at 9:30 AM, an hour and a half before check-out time. When I booked the room, it was made very clear that housekeeping only comes for 3+ night stays, every 3 days, at your request. We only had a single night stay, so we didn't expect house keeping to be coming while we were there at all. We thought we heard them knock on our neighbors door because they knocked so lightly, then we woke up to the keypad and someone opening our door with no time to respond. I do understand that mistakes can happen, but I just don't understand why staff would enter the room before we checked-out under any circumstances, especially without announcing themselves or making sure we heard them knock. If I had been traveling solo, this would've been terrifying. Completely ruined the experience. We won't be staying here again because our privacy was so invaded; I was nude in bed. The heater said it was set to 68 degrees, but it was unbearabley hot in the room at 1:30 am on a freezing cold night. I had a hard time sleeping due to how hot it was.

Great place for the money. Clean, updated suites and very responsive management. I stay here every time I’m in town.

The room is so tiny - I stayed two days after day one no one ever came to fix bed change sheets replace all my wet towels thank god I had toilet paper in my car - I travel alot . There was a fire alarm at midnight someone was smoking n the room - it has all electronic check in no one st front desk do remember yo save the hotel number / always wanted to stay there for 20 years - guess what im not coming back - Barcelona restaurant is there but with the hotel nightmare I went else where to eat . Good luck if u book here

Very convenient location

The room was exactly as pictured. Spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. Clean. Didn’t get a chance to experience the restaurant on site. Close to the university. Only issue was a large fly in the room.
