The hotel staff was super friendly, nice and attentive. Everything else about this hotel was horrendous. First the parking lot has so much trash thrown about and even though signs say smoke free, cig butts were plentiful next to the main door and reception area. Second, the amount of abandoned cars and cars missing windows and people sleeping in them is the worse that we ever seen. Third, the hallway carpets on all 6 floors are disgusting and all the halls reek of weed and loud obnoxious sounds. Fourth, you can clearly see that many people with lots of children are literally living out of this hotel. Fifth, the door keys and locks are a joke. Every day the keys stopped working and we had to go back down and get new one! Sixth, the room doors have no bottom thresholds so smells and sounds readily permeate your room. Seventh, maid service is non existent and the heat/ac unit is on a sensor that shuts off quickly and leaves the room at unpleasant temps unless you move around. Eighth, one of the bottles in the bathroom was half used and one was empty upon arrival!! Nineth, only one elevator works in the far back. Tenth, dont venture out at night because it is truly in an area that makes you feel unsafe. Pool and fitness centers were closed and the free breakfast was actually not bad. Vending machine area was dingy as well. Overall this place is one of those hotels where even the locals are hesitant to visit. Better off paying a few extra dollars and staying somewhere else.

Usually, all in all, this chain is pretty good, though this is the second one that makes me question the chains consistency in locations. This one was not dirty though a bit run down looking with scrapes and scuffs on the walls and doors. The elevator had a sign on it, "Not Working", yet the staff were using it constantly. The breakfast buffet, usually having a variety only offered pancakes, waffles, toast and cokd cereal. No eggs, no breakfast meats, yogurts, fruits, and oatmeal, normal fare for these hotels. The room was relatively clean and comfortable (what I've come to expect from La Quinta) though dogs barked through the night and into the morning.

Right now, this is an out-of-town contractor hotel. Facilities need some real TLC. Staff are friendly. I would not stay there with my wife, but I am fine because I just need a clean bed, reasonable room and safe environment for a good price. Keep your expectations in alignment with that and you will be fine.

what used to be a favored place to stay has gone down, with dirty carpet, peeling paint, one elevator not working, 2 ice machines not working, breakfast items very limited. just plain run down. Not on list of where I will stay in future.

The bathroom and shower was clean. But all draws were pull out.furnitures in room and bed mattress was badly damaged.No bed buds were detected. But I was not why furniture draw were pull were pull out.i felt uncomfortable by all by standing near side exit door.

Wyndham should be embarrassed to have the La Quinta Charlotte Airport in their collection. If this were our first experience with a Wyndham property, it would be our last. As it is, we will rethink any hotel with that affiliation in the future. With our evening check-in, I asked the front desk person if there was a restaurant nearby they could recommend. "I have no idea" was the response. The carpeting looked like it had been pulled from a condemned building, and the toilet in our room wouldn't flush. Barking dogs throughout the hotel (we are dog lovers, so could overlook that) and the (included) airport shuttle only ran once an hour, making it not ideal for a convenient check-in for flights. It's the kind of hotel where you want a hot shower AFTER you leave.

This was not a good stay for us the pictures must be 10 years old. Sheets are stained you can hear everything through the walls. The property is dirty. The location is not the best
