Motel 6 Lenexa, KS - Kansas City Southwest

The staff is amazing. Best Motel 6 we’ve stayed in and we’re seasoned travelers.

The ice machine was broken. Even when the curtains were closed, the street lights came into my room very brightly.

The room was sufficient for the price. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The AC was a little loud, but kept the room cool enough and didnt disturb my sleep. There was no coffee in the room or in the lobby.

The room we had, did not have a/c, due to all the heat the room was all moist from the condensation built up. We also reserved a QUEEN size bed. We ended up with a full. Aside all of that. Check in was 330, I was there by 3. Told it wasn't ready maybe 30 minutes to come back. That was fine. My reservation said 330. I did not get checked into for over an hour due to cleaning. And when we asked to speak to a manager. Nobody wanted to help us.

Nothing about the room was clean. Everything was unsanitary, water in between the walls, door was broken & the room smelled like urine. There was yellow stains in the bathroom like if it was water running down the walls and it was dry. It was disgusting! Fake advertising, nothing like the pictures. Looked like a rotten grape in the fridge. It was horrible never again! I had booked a non smoking room and it wrenched like cigarettes. I told them to give me another room and it was the same thing. It was at this point I just asked for my money back.

The hotel was quiet but the room was small and smelled like cigarettes. The room is very out of date and the hotel needs a major make over and to be majorly cleaned

I’m pretty sure there was bugs in the bed. I definitely saw a very sketchy looking flea tight bug on the towel in the bathroom. This place is full of people with nowhere to live and it is dirty and disgusting. Don’t stay here.

It was more like a apartment complex. Not a true representation of the online profile. Staff was friendly. Room was clean, but outdated. People were friendly. But over all it was rather "Methy" great location geographically.

Quiet hours not enforced. Exterior needs extensive work.

No frills, clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. Met my expectations for the price. The property is older, but well kept and there was some construction going on in the parking lots which reduced the amount of stalls- the ownership is reinvesting in their property. While there was some residential guests, there were no problems.

You definitely get what you pay for. This is the epitome of a no frills hotel. The AC unit in the room was so loud, I thought a jet was getting ready to take off. The TV didn't work most of the time, granted it was a satellite feed and that could have been the problem. There may of been blood splatters on the bathroom wall and my daughter felt safer when I came back from my truck with my sidearm. The beds are rock hard and the pillows were hospital grade. It was a step above sleeping in the car.

Check in went smoothly, but it ended there. The room smelt of urine (they did make sure to ask me if I had a dog when I checked in, which I didn’t ), there was plaster falling off the walls, crayon all over the bathroom door, bunch of spots that I don’t even know what they were on the walls and God knows what on the floor underneath the sink in the bathroom. The only thing redeeming was the bed was comfortable. I did take pictures but they didn’t turn out so I got rid of them already. Also, the picture that is listed on the site is not that hotel where I stayed. I stayed where I did because the pictures made it look nicer for a motel 6. I saw the one that was pictured when I got on the interstate, leaving town. Very false advertising. The one I stayed at was disgusting, but unless I was going pay an arm and a leg on Memorial Day weekend for one night, it sufficed. I did not even get undressed, I slept in my clothes, I did not take a shower, nothing. It was absolutely disgusting, and you should never even advertise this place at someplace to stay. I told the gentleman when I left that the room smelled of urine and he just looked at me and said “oh”.

The room was pretty clean and check in in no time with expedia
