DISAPPOINTING AND DECEITFUL i drove to Oak View for a weekend. attracted by the images of the accommodations, i booked a one-person room. i looked forward to getting in, kicking off my shoes, and putting up my feet on the coffee table and stretching out on the couch before going to Ojai. then i arrived. the man working behind the desk was sitting in the guest area. he was on his phone, texting someone. he wasn't in a uniform. he had no name tag. just a guy near a desk... then he told me that he was actually the maintenance man and that he was moonlighting at the front desk. huh? strike #1. when i checked in, it appeared there were ample vacancies. i could've been given any room. yet, i soon learned that i'd been put next to a guy who insisted on whooping (literally, the dude was *whoop*-ing) at a video game or something. this he did for hours... strike #2. but when i saw the room, i'd knew i'd been deceived. it was half the size of the "1 Bed" picture. it had no couch and no coffee table for my feet. in fact, it had nothing except for a desk, one chair, a dresser and a bed. they'd charged me an elevated rate for a closet-sized, glorified motel room! i ONLY checked in because of how the room was depicted... but it couldn't have been less luxurious. a sort of hotelier's bait-and-switch? strike #3. you're out. La Quinta would've been cheaper. the room would've been bigger and they would show me what it really looks like. i should've gone there... and i HATE La Quinta.

Cleanliness, easy access to Ojai

The room was in the worst condition you could expect to walk in to. We recognise it might rarely happen but it happened to us. Blood, condom, and a toilet unclean. The bedding just was not changed and we had a late check in with no other rooms available at 1 am. Exhausting to say the least. Everything was great...My only small issue was when showering the water changes temps between hot/cold often....There was no happy medium...great location...close to main street and Soule Golf course

Nicely located outside the hussle of central Ojai, and close to Ventura/Santa Barbara. Decently comfortable and nice staff.

so we are local and had to stay due to tenting our house. we asked after 1200 if we could check in and were told under NO circumstances could we do that until after 1500. How hard would it be to have them clean our room a bit earlier? No hand soap in the bathroom? Oh, we don't do that, really? Yeah, go to the tub and squeeze some out and go back to the sink.

Sink was clog

In Room 101 shower doesn't work, and night lamp doesn't work. In Room 116 there is a terrible noise all night long. Will never go there again.

Great place to stop for the night.

Desk staff was super nice. Rooms are very clean. I arrived at 330 PM and they wanted me to wait awhile for a 2nd floor room. I did not have time, so I took a 1st floor room. This is NOT safe for a single female. The immediate area has 3 liquor stores, so not a very nice area. The parking lot is open to the street. No gates to prevent random people. As a single female, I will not stay there again. Very sorry because the people are nice.

Perfect for what we needed

The staff here is very nice and accommodating. I did not want to pay $500 to stay in Ojai but was coming for an event there and this place was only 10 minutes away. check in was easy and fast, parking was ample and conveniently located by room. Fresh cookies while I waited to check in. The room was very clean and quiet and had everything I needed. I hung out by the pool for about an hour and there was no one else there which was great. It is actually a very large jacuzzi (not a pool) so water is warm but it is nicely decorated with 2 lounge chairs and sitting area as well. Check out was super fast. For the price this hotel was perfect for what I needed. You can also walk to a market and a few restaurants from here so that is very convenient.

They accommodated us from 2nd floor to the 1st floor. I forget to request it because of a knee surgery.

The space feels worn down and outdated. We also noticed that all the windows were open in the unoccupied rooms, and once we closed them, we began to feel unwell. Something doesn’t seem right there.

Great place in Oakview. Hot tub area is very cool. Close to good food spots.

It is a dated motor lodge, but seemed very clean. Was only there for a one night "pass through" and it served the need. Bed was a little bouncy, but again served its purpose.

Would stay again
