The staff was very helpful and friendly. Check in/out were quick and easy. It's in a great location and was easy to get to, just a block off Hollywood Blvd and so many Hollywood attractions like the Walk of Fame, Grauman's Chinese Theater, several other theaters, the Hollywood Museum, etc.
I stayed in one of the dorms, the room was spacious, the bunk beds were spread out so everyone had some space of their own. There was a closet and dresser available which was nice - I didn't use them, but I think some of the other girls did. The mattresses could have been a little more comfortable, and I think it's time for new pillows, but it was fine for a few days.
The hostel was once a personal home, and a few of the old features are still present, which is cool. It would have been nice to have kind of a lounge area to watch TV or read. There was no good area to sit and read except outside.

Staff was great. Location was ideal for exploring the Hollywood area. Short walk to the subway and close to lots of stores and coffee shops on the walk of fame. Overall great experience!

Hostel was neat and clean with all basic amenities in place. This helped to make our stay easy. Met few people from out of country visiting LA. Good parking is available backside of the hostel. Proximity to Hollywood main point of attractions- walk of fame, wax museum and even train station. Would recommend this place.

I booked a private room with a private bathroom. There was plenty of living space but the bathroom was pretty small. The shower, sink, and toilet were all a tight squeeze. Walls were thin and there was an unpleasant pre-type smell upon entry. I loved the character of an older building. Common spaces were simple and cute and I liked the well-groomed courtyard. Location was fantastic and parking was a huge plus. Service was friendly and professional. I felt safe here.

Such a gem in a tourist hotspot!
Could lick the floor with how often everything is cleaned. Also friendly roommates and ample shower/bathroom facilities. The front desk loaned me a lock for my locker instead of having to buy one. The ample outdoor space and lawn is perfect for day-jobbing. Also a great selection of tea and instant coffee. A whole list of pros and zero cons.

Who knew you could find affordable accommodations in the heart of Hollywood. Being that it am old mansion, it looks dated but added character and charm.
Property was clean and staff friendly.
Only downside if you will, the room were a little small.

Great location, everything was clean, sheets were soft, it was just that the beds were very hard.

I liked this hostel and it reminded me of my dorm years in college. It was clean, people were very nice, and I felt safe and secure. I loved the parking space provided as well! It is conveniently placed near the walk of fame in Hollywood and lots of stores.
