SpringHill Suites by Marriott Amelia Island

Honestly we had a great time at our stay but the management team really missed it. We had an air conditioning leak in our room so from our unit to our bed and door to balcony was soaked with water. You couldn’t wear socks cause your feet would get soaked. I called downstairs and reported and they did send someone up. My complaint is, I was never apologized to never was ask if I wanted to be moved just said nothing. I had to call and ask if it was fixed and to ask if fans needed to be brought in to help dry up carpet. I was just told no it would be okay. I did tell manager when I checked out how I felt but she was so nonchalant and still never offered an apology. I hope it doesn’t smell musky in that room cause it was still not dry when we checked out.

Overall the stay was good. We stayed in room 346 with my main concern being the cleanliness, specifically the shower and lounge area. In various corners of the shower there were signs of mold in the grout alongside with a gray tint on the shower floor. Also the shower door did not have a great seal which permitted water to seep onto the bathroom floor. This resulted in us having to pack multiple bathroom towels to contain the water. The couch had various stains. However, the bed was very clean and comfortable. Overall, we would consider coming back. The workers were very friendly and attentive.

The hotel in general seemed very clean. However, our room was just ok. I was excited to have booked a balcony with a water view room. You could not see the water at all from the room unless you stood in the far corner of the balcony. Then you could see it in the distance. There was a lot of trash and old food under the beds. I wouldn’t have known it was there except i lifted up the bedding while looking for something.

My only complaint was the shower was terrible. Definitely needed a new shower head. Other than that it was a great experience.

Place was very clean and accommodating, but needed a few more lights in the room and in the shower it had no fan so if you’d like to take a hot shower when you’re done showering you’re gonna be sweating you’re gonna have to go in a cold room.

Great property with nice amenities for the area.

Hotels is very conveniently located near a ton of amazing restaurants, historical downtown and several parks. Overall condition of the hotel is very new and very clean. There is a Starbucks right on site as an added bonus. Continental breakfast was fair at best but at least they have one available. Beds are very soft so if you have a hard time sleeping on soft mattresses and pillows, you might want to bring your own pillow. They offer a grill and bar with live music by the pool area which was a great option when you don’t want to leave for lunch. Overall, a great option.

The location is great with all the local restaurants near by, however, the reason I gave it a 5 because of the services provide by the hotels staffs. I was told that they will provide room service every other day, but I stayed there for 4 days and no one showed up to clean our room. When registered, they gave us the handicap room, which is weird and I don't like the layout of the room. I decided to accepted the room because we're tired and would like to settle down. On the second day, we called for the room service and they said they won't do it unless there's no one in the room. WTH : ( The next day, we went out all day but still there's no one showed up to clean our room. By the day we're checking out, our room looked like we're from third world country with a pile of trashes, dirty towels and bad smell. I have to went to the front desks EVERY. SINGLE. DAY to asked for towels and others necessities like toilet paper. And I have to went there twice before they sent us the toilet paper roll. In addition, I did not know there will be a $15 for parking fee since I booked through hotels.com. I also have to register for free membership to have access to free Wifi. This would be our first and last time we stayed at this hotel. Dragging my tired ass to asked for all the basic necessities while the people there didn't do their job properly should never happen again.

I liked the cleanyness of the property. Maintenance of the pool area.

Overall stay was Excellent. The room was clean and the hotel was clean also. The room staff was friendly and helpful. Overall facility was clean and we enjoyed. Morning breakfast was good, but the lines for waffles are to congested. Would like to see a little more variety on the menu.Maybe there needs to be someone making the waffles at the hotel to help with the flow in the mornings. Either way- had a blast.

Breakfast was not good. Cold eggs and no soft drinks or milk that a could find.

Property is very nice and we enjoyed our stay. We did have issues with the room we were given but we addressed the issues with front desk and they were able to move us. We really appreciated that.
