Tempo by Hilton New York Times Square

I booked a corner room with panoramic windows and my room was given away and I was moved to a downgraded room although I spent over $1200.00 for the weekend I stayed there.

Was ok. Guy who checked me in had no manners. I paid for a room with peloton AND Times Square view. He told me room didn’t have peloton and he was upgrading me to room with Times Square view. Said view was not a view of Times Square at all. Was a view of the building across the street just off Times Square. Wasn’t a cheap hotel but location was good. I know New Yorkers have a reputation but in the service industry manners cost nothing

Great Hotel that has great views of Time Square.

The hotel lacked some amenities like robes, beverages in the room and even pen and paper but the hotel was great and they staff was amazing!

I am in New York all the time because my brother lives there however I needed to book this hotel for a conference I was attending. I found the hotel to be beautiful however, the staff was quite average. When I checked in, no one told me about how to order food from the restaurant. I didn’t know I was going to have to carry my own ice bucket to my room. I also didn’t know how to use the snack area because it wasn’t staffed. The cost customer service as I said was quite average so there was nothing to make me want to come back. I guess the attitude of the staff is that because they have so many people come to New York, there was no need to give any special treatment to the people staying in the hotel. It’s such a shame because of the hotels convenient location. I even decided not to get my free breakfast because I was just very happy to be going home

When I checked in, I was told I had a $ 35.00 credit per day to use in the bar/dining room at anytime during the day, she did not specify breakfast only. I even confirmed with her while talking. I skipped breakfast at the hotel and had breakfast offsite, so I could use the credit for dinner/drinks. Then when I checked out, they said, no, that credit was for breakfast only!!! So I totally lost the $ 70.00 credit because the Hotel staff misinformed me at checkin. Nothing was done at checkout to make this right either!! This is why I rated staff with a 1, the staff needs to do better in informing guests of the amenities they have.

I stayed at twice for staycations and I loved it. The gym is perfect for early morning workouts. I do wish they had room service but for what it is, I’ll go back!

Hotel was in a safe and clean environment. Enjoyed the close proximity with restaurants and stores!

The hotel was very organized and efficient. The location was great and walkable to so much.

Clean hotel and for the most part everyone was nice except for a couple of front desk agents. The acted like they were being bothered and it’s all about tone and body language. If you are annoyed and not even making eye contact to your guests and looking at your keyboard, take a break and have someone else do it. Serious RBF for a few agents. I worked as a front desk manager at the Marriott Waterfront in Portland for 6 years- if I knew someone in my staff was having a tough day, I would swap them out to work the phones or float. Your attitude represents your company. You are the first person to interact with your guest besides your valet. Your attitude affects your staffs tips as well. I would stay there again but would rather deal with it all as self check in and not have to feel like I’m bother others.

The room was very small but well appointed and clean. There was a bar and coffee service, but they closed fairly early for New York. Other properties we stayed at had longer service and a nicer sitting area.

Professional and personable staff. Very clean hotel. Elevator service was fantastic!! Food service delivered in timely manner

Location of this hotel is great if you’re attending Broadway plays, Rockefeller Center and great restaurants and Pubs. Walking distance to everything. Hotel was clean and staff superb. Will definitely be back 5*****

Excellent hotel! Clean, room is Smart controlled, right in the heart of Times Square, reasonably priced for NY. I give this hotel a 10+++++ rating. Would definitely stay again at Tempo!!

Staff and property were great. very helpful. Didn't like that they could not break a $20.00.....cashless
