The Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina

This resort definitely didn’t disappoint! Absolutely first rate, beautiful huge rooms with water views. Pools, hot tubs, fire pits and coffee station in the lobby. The bed was so comfortable, absolutely stunning place right near Charleston Center. I highly recommend!

Poor service. No room service options

The property is absolutely beautiful …. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable . Outside pool area is beautiful …they are getting ready for the busy season …. I did have an issue with the hot tub area….I personally do not feel children should be in the hot tub, unsupervised young children , and also younger child with swim diaper..it just does not seem acceptable …and I feel the hot tub needed to be scrubbed and cleaned better … I was only there for 3 morning coffee needs and 2 of those morning there seemed to be some kind of business seminar starting and the coffee area was very messy and congested with the rather rude no need to wait your turn seminar people ….I feel if this is being offered to a group of people they should have their own coffee needs area to accommodate them .

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Our only complaint is minor. The housekeeping could have been better. Little things like the ice bucket was never emptied except once and even then the plastic liner wasn’t replaced. Our understanding at check in was that complementary waters were provided and they were but they were never replaced. We did ask about it and were given waters right away. Minor complaints. Overall it is a wonderful resort and we highly recommend it. We plan to stay there again next year.

Beautiful

We liked very much the free shuttle to and from Charlston downtown. The drivers were very polite and friendly and very knowledgable about the town. For this kind of property we would have liked a more consistently warm and engaging Front desk staff. Unfortunately we were unable to use the outdoor amenities because of the weather, but they look fantastic. The resort fee per person is rather steep for this time of year.

Excellent weekend getaway. Clean. Great location. I just felt a sense of peace upon arriving at the property.

I checked out a day early, received permission from the property for the refund and received $47 of the $177 I paid for the room.

We had a room with a great view and enjoyed being able to sit outside on the patio. The decor in the room was unique and we also loved the fireplace. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Having a deep tub in the bathroom, separate from the shower was wonderful. We also enjoyed the heated pool. Having a free shuttle to downtown was very beneficial. If we could recommend one thing, it would be updates to the hot tub. The hot tub only had a few jets and the water was very low the majority of the time.

It was unfortunate that the main pool was closed and tiki area was under construction.

Deluxe Harbor view room was worth it. Huge room, excellent view from private balcony. Resort is the best place to stay when visiting Charleston

Beautiful sunset views, great amenities and they pay attention to details as well as very responsive to your needs!

What a first class property. Rooms are so nice w a great harbor view that we almost did not feel like leaving the room. Nice shuttle u Charleston town center. Super clean , nice pools and very upscale. Totally recommend staying here. And a free top end Keurig coffee machine that makes lattes etc in the lobby. Great friendly staff !

The property was stunning with lovely, fresh, nautical decor. Unfortunately, it was early in the season so many of the outside dining options were not open. We were traveling with our pup so it meant we had to eat take out in our room. Our room was a suite with a small game/dining table so it certainly was not a deal breaker. We hope to stay again on our return trip north for a longer stay!

Very clean and staff friendly

This hotel excellent. It's exactly how pictured, amazing/friendly staff and close to downtown charleston by shuttle the hotel offers. Not to mention the amazing view as well! Would definitely stay again!

I loved the spacious rooms and location of this property. It was a great blend of being close to everything while feeling you were able to relax waterside.

The Amenities here are centered around partying, boozing, alcohol (4 bars, water taxi, and shuttle to downtown. A gym next door in the sister resort and that's all) If that's what you're looking for then this is your place. If you're looking for serenity and white glove service look elsewhere. No breakfast will be given to you. You have to go next door and purchase breakfast from the seafood restaurant. The room that was advertised was not what was given to us. We were advertised a room with a kitchenette which is what should have been given to us. The weather was awful, so they were extremely slow. Maybe 10 cars in the parking lot. We were given 2 free softdrinks from the marina store next door which was nice and 2 free bottle waters and there was a coffee machine in the lobby. No sundries, no snacks available for purchase, no continental breakfast. Nothing. So, make sure you take plenty of snacks that don't need refrigeration in case they stick you in a room without a refrigerator or microwave. Honestly, there wasn't anything at this "resort" that I haven't experienced at a regular hotel. In fact, a regular hotel has more amenities than this place since they provide at least a continental breakfast. All in all, the experience was mediocre at best. I wouldn't stay again, it was a total waste of money. The next nights we stayed at Middleton Place Inn. Wow! Talk about an upgrade and being blown out of the water with fantastic service!

So clean and pretty. I am not a huge fan of seafood so wish more options for food and no room service. But even with that it was still “wonderful”
