The Historic Brookstown Inn, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Nice place. Not only had complimentary breakfast, but had wine and cheese in the afternoon as well as cookies and milk in the evening. A very friendly place to stay.

Have staye several times. Check your tub drains when you get there. We have had three different rooms wit drain issues. The area is quiet, the breakfasts are great, linens are getting thin, bathroom floors need scrubbing, and the staff was very helping with batteries for a TV remote. Rooms are very large and charming. HVAC was quiet and controlled the temperature well.

It is well located and they offered so nice things to the customers like cookies and milk for the night, wine and cheese etc! Staff super friendly.

I’ve been staying at the Brookstown Inn since the late 1980’s. It’s one of the best B&B around.

Very convenient to hospital and Old Salem

Ive stayed here a few times, property is always unique and very entertaining. Thisnis the first time i had any issues with my room,.smelled a little musty and room was not the cleanest. Will definitely stay again though, every property cannot be perfect all.the time

We stayed for 2 nights during HP Market. Room was very outdated, beds were not comfortable, carpets were worn/stained, and the wooden beams squeaked from overhead guests. With “Market” availability of rooms is tough in/around HP/Greensboro. Historic/Quaint shouldn’t replace basic hotel 101 requirements. Poor overall rating justified

My daughter and I stayed here to visit UVA. Perfect location - easy walk to campus. This hotel is charming and comfortable. The manager, Jake, is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would stay again.

Front desk staff a pwere

We had a couple of room issues that resulted us in having to change rooms twice. The first was our fire sprinkler was leaking water in the bathroom. We came back from dinner to find it dripping and a big puddle on the floor. We were moved to the room next store and quickly found that the sheets on one bed were stained (big urine spot plus small brown stains throughout). We were then moved to our final destination, which was fine except for the fact that the ceiling creaked loudly when our upstairs neighbors walked around, and we were in double beds instead of queens, which is what I paid for. I inquired about a possible compensation for that (not to mention the inconvenience, perhaps) but was told I need to take it up with Expedia. That doesn’t make sense to me, but I will do so when I have time!

Despite being local, I’ve never stayed overnight at the Brookstown Inn, but have wanted to for a long time. I treated myself as a Retirement gift and it was wonderful. I love the historical building and all the EXTRAS like milk & cookies served at bedtime! The hot breakfast was very good and Sally the cat is a precious Resident.

We appreciated the extra hospitality offerings, such as wine & cheese, cookies & milk, and a full breakfast with lots of healthful options.

Very cool hotel, interesting transformation but in need of a renovation -- dirty floors, dirty windows, not working window treatments and old dark carpets.

Amazing location, walkable to Old Salem and free parking. Very quirky rooms, lovely big comfy bed and well lit bathroom. Even has a resident cat! Only downside was bedroom itself was a little dark. Not enough to stop us returning tho! Nice breakfast and free water all day

Haunted!

This unique building has spacious rooms, a delicious breakfast buffet, cookie hour, wine hour and friendly staff. It’s very close to Old Salem historic areas and a few good restaurants. The atmosphere is comfortable, while the building itself is interesting and reminiscent of a stay in Williamsburg.
