I love their attempt to keep the hotel in a 1920-30s time capsule, however having a mini fridge would be convenient for storing restaurant leftovers, snacks, etc.

This is a GREAT place to stay when in NY - Staff is super - we got a room upgrade without asking - room was super clean - maids are on top of your room - good security in the lobby- no one getting upstairs who does not belong- close to subway- only downer was the noise on 1 of our 4 nights - it was a Friday - we were on the 37th floor and music outside was going until almost 4 am - not sure where he was coming from but it was loud not sure the hotel could have done anything about it anyway. When leaving bell captain found us a taxi that would not rip us off going back to the airport, we paid $65 for the return trip in from the airport. They charged us 125. Overall we were very happy with our stay!!!!

The club near the hotel was extremely loud, and made it near impossible to sleep. Hotel lobby is nice but there’s of the hotel (hallways, rooms, etc.) are extremely dated. Hotel is so large and so many random people staying there that it didn’t always feel safe, to be honest. Staff were nice though.

We had a very nice stay in room 4006. The front desk staff were very accommodating (Brian, Jose, Mohammed, Juan and Shamagne). Our housekeeper named Angiolina was excellent! She was very attentive and did a wonderful job. We arrived later than planned, but enjoyed going to the TikTok Diner, which was right in the hotel. The food was very good and so was the atmosphere. The hotel was in a great location and close to all of the stores, shows and attractions we went to. We had a beautiful view of the Empire State Building and were in walking distance of Madison Square Garden.

It’s an older hotel, but that’s the whole reason to stay there. Rooms are big enough, AC is just “ok” but stayed comfortable. Beds are very comfortable, location is great! Staff is very nice! Bathroom is very tiny and needs repairs, no AC in bathroom, but survived lol. Water pressure is insane! Loved it. Overall recommend 100%

Grand lobby and entrance, nice view from our room, room size was a little small but that is standard in New York, i did not like the bathroom at all. Bathtub had a clog and faucet keeps dripping. Bathroom very outdated and small. It did not look like a 4 star hotel bathroom, more like a 2 star bathroom. I called the front desk about clog several times and no one from their engineering team ever got back to us. I end up fixing it myself.

Be prepared of the cleaning lady banging on your door to wake you up at 9 am and opening your door to see if you checked out. I was peacefully sleeping on my relaxing vacation and get woken up at 9 am to check out. They just want to rush you to leave in the morning and its very rude. Place also has cockroaches
