The Roxbury

The room I had was quit nice. Different from your other hotels. It was fun and unique. I definitely will stay in more Roxbury hotels in the future.

The Roxbury is like an oasis in a desert of very questionable hotels/motels. In an area where expectations of quality in a booking must be managed, The Roxbury is the antithesis of ALL of that. Clean, safe, solid amenities, comfortable and WONDERFUL staff… And the decor?? An absolute chic and welcome bonus! You will definitely be taking pictures of this place. Don’t hesitate, book now!! I’ll certainly be back.

This was just the quick getaway my husband and I needed for Valentine’s Day weekend. Great customer service, unique hotel rooms, and quiet ambiance.

Having had a great experience the last time we went up I was looking forward to this trip. I was not happy that I had booked a certain themed room and when I arrived was informed that we got moved to a different room. I had booked the trip about 4 months in advance to ensure I got the room my wife wanted to stay in. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. If I had have been notified before my arrival it wouldn’t have been that bad for me. That was very disappointing to me. The room I ended up in was very nice. I was told it was an upgrade but had gone from a suite with a king and queen bed to a room with just queen beds. The suite was very clean and my wife did like it but it wasn’t what she had asked me to get. It was supposed to be a surprise that I had been able to get the suite. We love the area and the peaceful atmosphere there. The first day the desk person must’ve been having a bad day because she wasn’t friendly. Saturday and Sunday the desk person was amazing. I wanted to plan another trip up this year but I’m hesitant. I don’t want to drive about 4 hours and then find out that I’m not staying where I booked especially since I’ve been looking to go bigger and upgrade from a suite to cottage. Overall the trip was good but extremely let down by no notice that I wasn’t getting what I had booked months in advance.

This place is so much fun !!. Themed rooms are a must. Need a little more attention to detail ( several light bulbs out , no tissues in the tissue box, no shampoo in the container in the shower. ) But to be more positive the decor was fun. Lots of space, very close to restaurants and small town. I will 100% be back.

I arrrived later in the evening after the desk attendant had already left i went to my room & found that the room didnt match the pics that the had online & there was little to do about this because there was nobody there & nopbody answered the after hours phone call. Although this is a nice little motel, the problem is that I specifically booked this property for the Hot tub after a day of skiing & the hot tub was broken, but they were offering for me to use the one 2 miles up the road which is completely uncomfortable & not very accessible if my room is 2 miles away & its 19º & snowing prior to heading to the mountain the next morning i was speaking to the exceptionally dry desk attendant & i was informed that the hot tub had been out of commission for a few weeks and they were waiting to have it fixed. this is something that should have been noted during the booking stage. I went to pick up my "breakfast" in the morning & i inquired about the possibility of cancelling my 2nd night & was informed that i would have to call Expedia to discuss it with them. i decided to ski & see how i felt after this & whether to drive the 4 hours home was an option. I decided to leave the hotel since there was no need for me to stay any longer since i couldnt do what i had originally had intended to do. I am an avid traveler who flys over 140k miles a year & whp spends over 200 nights in a hoetl. Thos was not a great stay. there is also NOWHERE to eat or drink after 8 pm.

Very good place, clean and cozy. Stuff is very friendly. Hotel has a hottub, sauna and steam room included in the room price, however the reservation is required for those amenities, which is not mentioned on Expedia! So after booking better to call hotel directly and made the reservation. Expedia didn't notify us so when we arrived to hotel, all amenities were fully booked and we could not enjoy it.

The cottage at Stratton Falls was amazing. It’s a destination.

A unique place. Old style motel with modern, themed rooms, and upgraded room amenities. Staff friendly and accommodating. Comfortable, quiet location one block from small dining and shopping area of Roxbury. Good breakfast choices put in bag to take back to room. Great wi-fi, cable TV w/Netflix. Only issue was low water pressure. Staff aware and apologetic.

This place is a hidden gem and place to escape especially coming from NYC. It was worth the trip and wish I could experience the other rooms. Stayed in Tony's Dancefloor and it was well detailed and fun. Staff was informative and accommodating. Will come back eventually.

Clean and very nice

This was a great getaway with an even greater place to stay with the themed rooms, hot tub’s & amenities. The scenery was spectacular especially by the Stratton Falls! Wow! An absolute must stay!! Plus! Don’t forget to get a bite to eat at the Old Mill Inn across the street from the Hotel.

Theme rooms were the major draw.

The motel is Wonderfull!! We plan on going back. Take advantage of the amenities at both locations. Book as soon as you arrive as they are reservation based. For a “theme” hotel the rooms build quality is top notch. The bar on main st. The food is an absolute must go to. Bring groceries as the local store is more of a convenience store or bodega.

This was such a fun time and we were amazed at how clean even the ornate glass was in our room. A for the sheets and the robes as well.

Everything is tip top and unique . Been smiling all day . Fabulous staff and facilities

I loved my room, it was very cozy and spacious. The steam room and relaxation room was fabulous. My husband and I enjoyed our time at The Roxbury.
