The Ven at Embassy Row, Washington, D.C., a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Room had very damaged wall mirror..bathroom door..loud air conditioner

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! We arrived a few hours before the official check-in time, and to our surprise, our room was already ready. The early check-in process was quick and seamless. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of champagne and even received a few thoughtful souvenirs, which made us feel truly special. Everything went smoothly from start to finish- a perfect start to our stay. Highly recommend!

Excellent staff and property

This was my fourth visit to this property and I couldn’t be happier. They pay incredible attention to Customer Care at this property and are very concerned that your stay is as excellent as possible. I also love the size of this property and everything it offers.

The younger female manager was amazing and very accommodating.she was always smiling and very upbeat. The waitress/bartender Miss. Monica served the best drinks. The food and beverage manager Chris resolved my situation without hesitation and made sure I was happy.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and considerate in all our interactions. I would return to stay at the Ven for future trips.

Great time, clean facility

The property manager was wonderful and responsive to our needs.

Very comfy bed, decent shower, great staff. . .restaurant just OK. Excellent location at Duport Circle/Embassy Row. I saw signs of needed (cosmetic) maintenance like scuffed/scraped paint on doorways, minor shower mildew, etc. Overall fine property--I'd stay again.

My stay at Ven was good. Property and staff is nice. I stayed on second floor and every time i entered the room my room smelled of food(I never brought in any food) . One morning i woke up with smell of bacon.

Nice place

The property was nice and the staff was very friendly. The food choices for breakfast were not the greatest. Omelet was good but potatoes were old and cold. Breakfast sandwiches were premade and warmed in a little oven. I was wanting more cooked food and not pre-packaged. I was a little bummed that the restaurant closed at 10pm, and most places close early so late night bites weren't an option. The bathrooms are very small and not enough room for two people to get dressed at the same time.

Kind and courteous front desk, and housekeeping people. Great vibe and atmosphere.

Really nice place along Embassy Row. Walking distance to many places esp CVS Pharmacy. Glad to get free valet thx to Hotels.com... A few welcome gifts. A bar and restaurant was nice too. Great fun on the roof watching fireworks.

The Ven served it's purpose but with some disappointments. The positives: good locaton for the Metro stop, comfortable bed and very good housekeeping. Some nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The not so good: there's obviously been some sort of refurb however it's surface level at best - aging and noisy air con units, old sockets and light fixtures, chipped and peeling bathroom mirror - basically nothing beyond a slap of paint and a roll of wallpaper. We were also in an adjoining room and the noise insulation was extremely poor. Like, bad. We decided to book The Ven because of the pool, and wanting to jump in at the end of a busy day sightseeing, however we found it to be extremely unkempt and therefore unwelcoming so we only ended up using it once. No one seemed to be keeping on top of the used towels, replenishing fresh towels, clearing the used cups and napkins rolling around etc. For an area you walk around without shoes on it also felt quite dirty underfoot. So yeah, it did the job, but will be trying somewhere different next time I'm in town.

Loved the food and convenience

Great and centrally located. Well appointed with a large gym, reception area and onsite bar. Using the destination fee as a daily food and beverage credit is nice and incentivized us to get food and drinks each day. However, it would be good to communicate that the food and beverage credit can also cover tip and tax. The pool is smaller than what the pictures make it out to be but was much welcome relief in the hot weather. The rooms were fine, though a bit dated. The bed was very comfortable. However the bathrooms could do with a refresh and the shower didn’t have much water pressure.
