The location is excellent but the hotel was horrible. My first room was musty smelling. The carpet was dirty and spotty. Everything was just old and the view was horrible. Not even close to what I expected. I complained and was moved to the top floor which was no better. The view and room was still not good. I have stayed at various 4+ star hotels and this was very disappointing. Not worth my money and/or time. Was trying to celebrate a 16th birthday for my daughter. I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. I should have stayed at the Marriott at LGA in Queens, but was trying to give her the city experience. EPIC FAILURE!!!! LIVE AND LEARN. I WISH I COULD GET A REFUND!!!!

They had staff that was friendly and available 24/7, the room was nice and clean and had a great view of the city and the drinks at the bar were great, at least my Bloody Mary’s were. Excellent way to start the afternoon with their drink vouchers

We enjoyed our stay, but certain things could be improved and changed. We had to request conditioner in our room 3 days in a row with 4 requests before we actually received a refill. The refill wasn't installed on the dispenser system and just left on the counter. We had to make 3 requests for towels. Communication between concierge and the other departments seems to get overlooked.
What we would love to see changed is the automatic 20% gratuity added to bar/lounge drinks. I would rather have the choice to tip or not. The service in the bar/lounge was mediocre, so a selective tip would have been better.
Other than that, it was a great stay. Great location. Clean, safe, and convenient.

Perfect location if flying into LaGuardia airport and dining in and around mid town. The service was exceptional, all around! Deidre checked us in and was so welcoming!!! The brunch was delicious and the bartenders were friendly and welcoming as well!

Great location - walk to some great attractions or venture uptown and downtown via 4, 5 and 6 trains which are a few mins walk away. Staff were polite, professional and friendly. Food very good and cocktails extremely good. Room was spacious and super clean. Only thing missing is a pool.

I throughly enjoyed my stay at the Westin. Great central location close to amenities and public transport links. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive, particularly Sam, the manager who made sure that I was comfortable during my stay. I would highly recommend the Westin for anyone staying in the heart of New York looking for a wonderful experience.
