We stayed in a jetted tub room--the room was very spacious, the tub is big, and the glass shower very nice. With such a large room and distance from the TV, it could be larger; the furniture is kind of odd with a glass top office-type desk; there are only a desk chair in the room; the refrigerator is kind of loud right next to the bed. But over all a great room for the price.

Room very large. Had to pay extra for covers for sofa bed. But restroom clean staff friendly they had a fridge no microwave. Tv and wifi worked restroom nice stocked. Fast check in fast check out. Parking avalible.

I had high hopes for Tilbury Inn based on the photos online, but unfortunately the reality was very different. We had booked one night. The room looked nothing like the pictures, at least the bathroom did not. The furniture was old and worn, and the bathroom floor was noticeably dirty. To make matters wore, the shower had no curtain or enclosure so the water would get everywhere even though there was a drain in the middle of the floor. The walls were very thin and we could hear the next room's tv, voices and footsteps. The room was also warm, although there was an AC unit, it kept shutting off on its own which was frustrating because we would have to get up and turn in back on, and also very noisy. At check in we were told there was a $20 CASH deposit, something that was not mentioned on the website. Since we did not have cash at hand, they pointed us to an ATM machine just outside the check in room. The ATM machine declining my card before finally accepting it. Right after, I received a text from my bank flagging the withdrawal as a fraudulent which was alarming due to it was only $20. During checkout, I handed back the room key and waited to see if the staff would return my deposit. It didn't seem like she was going to, so I asked. She was a bit hesitant at first, but after a moment, she finally gave the $20 back. Overall, this was a stressful and disappointing experience. Between the false advertising, uncomfortable room, noise, etc. I would not recommend staying here.

Avoid if You Can , Not As Advertised I stayed at the Tilbury Inn and it was a huge disappointment. First off, the TV didn’t work, the lights kept glitching there were no toiletries, no towels, and no toilet paper. Nothing was stocked in the room like it was supposed to be. The air conditioner didn’t work, and when I asked to switch rooms, I was told no. There is no housekeeping it’s run by a husband and wife, and they don’t come by to check on your room or offer any service. There are also no trash cans, so you’ll have to hold on to your trash until you leave. Worst of all, they ask for a cash deposit when you check in, but when you check out, they inspect your room and refuse to return your deposit for any small excuse. (Like your trash, when they have no trash cans in the room) The parking is terrible the spaces are extremely tight, and if you drive a bigger vehicle, you’ll probably have to find parking down the street. Definitely not convenient. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep for the night, this might be a last resort. But if you’re staying in Los Angeles for the weekend or trying to enjoy your visit, find another hotel. Even a Motel 6 would be a better option. If you do end up staying here, bring your own toilet paper, towels, blankets, fan, shampoo, and conditioner you’ll need it all. This place is not what they advertise online, and the customer service is nonexistent. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! No room service, no breakfast. Shower clogged up, floor was dirty, clean towels have hair on it and stains. They scam you $20 for cash deposit so they can pocket it when you check out. Make sure to get it back bc they don’t do much at all. I had to ask for extra towels everyday. We also had a half used toilet paper when we checked in and didn’t even have an extra roll and had to go ask for it. Would not recommend.

Very basic, which is what you expect, but the A.C was insufficient and noisy, the room smelt HEAVILY of disinfectant and gave me a headache (that smell didn’t go away), the shower heads were lime-scaled and the server hassled me for a tip at the end. It’s not in my culture (from the UK) to tip unless the service has been exemplary, and she didn’t do anything outside of her role. She was nice, but that’s expected. I was thinking about leaving a tip as I know it’s a “thing” here, but hassling me for one wasn’t a good service.

I would not recommend staying here. The people are very rude (in our experience it was the lady) and will do anything to get cash out of you. They make you leave cash when you check in and after checkout they inspect the rooms before you leave to try to get more cash out of you, it’s a scam!! They they ask for tips and are very rude. There is rats in the building and smells very bad. There was hair all over the bed sheets and towels. The floors are sticky and they don’t clean your room during your stay. After the lady didn’t find anything in my room she had to give me cash deposit back but insisted I tip it to her. Do not stay there. You will be watched by them at all times and it was very uncomfortable.

We checked in kind of late but they have one room left. I had done it through hotels.com. I was very tired and I forgot to hit two guest so when I got to the window to proceed to pay for my room, they told me that it would’ve been more if I said two guest, I booked a room with two queen beds so she charged me a $20 gas fee or deposit so at checkout I asked because she took my cards my room cards and never said anything about the deposit so I asked her what about the guest deposit because all my guest did was take a shower. He’s an 85 year old man oh what about a tip? She said I said usually leave the tip in the room, but that’s for housekeeping so she wanted to keep my $20 for a tip for herself because she said she gave me a good room and a good price. I’m not unacceptable.
