Washington Square Hotel

Very nice for a short visit. Older hotel with older facilities.

I was super disappointed when all 6 of the k cups for my in room coffee were decaffeinated. It sounds weird, but i rely on it. I saw 6 cups. But at 3am when i needed them, they were all decaf. Do better.

It is in ideal location . Safe neighborhood .The rooms are perfect for a couple . Walkable to Greenwich village ,Soho. West Village . Lots of restaurants nearby. Just across from the park.

An adorable boutique property with older charms that comes with better amentities than the more modern (read: sparse!) counterparts around the cities. I love the classic features at the WSH that I've missed at newer properties: iron & ironing board, full-length mirrors, in-room coffee maker, bathroom doors that shut vs. slide. Will definitely stay again

Very happy with the quaint, clean room. One downside we ran in to was that there is no office type workspace in the hotel at all. Nowhere to go to do a little early morning work. Had to leave the hotel to find someplace. Secondly, the restaurant was not open and had no activity at all. It would have been nice to have it as an option. Again, had to leave the hotel.

The location is great. The staff could not have been nicer. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The building is older but has charm. The only reason I didn’t give all 5 stars was the breakfast. It was ok, but the coffee was not so good and there was not a hot option of food.

While we understand the need to renovate the restaurant and lounge, we made our reservation far in advance based on the amenities shown on the website. We believe the hotel should have contacted us at some point well before our arrival to notify us of this inconvenience and outline options (such as providing a fridge in room). They did not. Additionally, upon our arrival, staff did not assist us with our luggage (or even open the front doors). We had quite a substantial load to carry up the steps after a long day of travel. The hotel offered no discount for NYU families moving in. The view from our room was a concrete wall. That said, the location is ideal, with many great restaurants and shops nearby as well as the beautiful Washington Square Park.

Fantastic renovated boutique hotel at Washington Square Park. Great walking in the Village and SoHo. East in, easy out. Warm friendly staff as well.

Room was small but perfect for our needs. Shower was spa-level awesome. Staff was great. No fridge in our room if that’s important to you. Loved that the windows opened to feel connected to Washington Square vibe.

Absolutely LOVED staying here!
