Wyndham Garden Tallahassee Capitol

Stayed here for FSU graduation and was extremely disappointed. Tallahassee is a smaller town, so I expected some pricing increase due to the event—but paying over $400 a night for what felt like a one-star experience was unacceptable. The room was noticeably dirty, especially the bathroom. The shower was rundown with grime in all the corners, and the ceiling had visible water bubbles. The windowsills appeared to not have been cleaned in years. There were no wall outlets available, only one through the lamp by the bed. The coffee maker didn’t work, and the room phone was broken—I had to use my personal phone to contact the front desk. One bed had only a sheet with no comforter, which made it seem like housekeeping was incomplete. The elevator was borderline unsafe—it barely opened more than an inch unless you held down the “open” button manually. This property is in serious need of maintenance and renovation. I understand local hotels may raise prices during high-demand weekends, but the condition of this hotel does not justify the cost. Would not recommend staying here. The experience was far below expectations for the rate charged.

our stay was, "ok". The room AC was very strange. It would run and then stop, run, then stop. Made the room feel very uncomfortable through the night. We could hear above us very easily and we had no working outlets in our bathroom which we didn't know until we needed them in the morning to get ready. I don't think we would choose to stay here again, but it was ok for the price.

The property is dated, but the staff and cleanliness makes up for the aged property.

No AC in common areas and very old and dingy in the hallways. And a crusty old elevator. I cannot believe this is a Wyndham. Room is OK, but bathroom is dingy.

The hotel needs a great deal of upkeeping. The rooms were fair but hallways were dirty especially carpet. Gym also dirty. The lobby and common areas have no are conditioning. Poor breakfast selection. Many homeless people around hotel.

There was no coffee maker in the room and there were only two pillows on each bed.

It was just ok. A/C not working in the common areas, including the breakfast area. Bed was comfy but the told lots of mildew stains. As I mentioned it was ok, but have been much better

Carpet was stained in the hallways but rooms were very clean Felt sorry for front desk staff - ac was out and they were operating with a fan

Long wait for service and broken AC in lobby. We had a long walk to lobby for coffee... not many low carb options. AC was a little noisy, and refrigerator lights were super bright, pillows a bit hard.

This hotel has had no air conditioning in all the common areas for over a month. The musty mildew smell is overwhelming. Think they had a contractural and moral responsibility to advise guests in advance of the issue. I would have cancelled the reservation and gone somewhere else. I asked the manager how long it was broken, they claimed it would remain broken and no corrective date is even anticipated. Stay away, book somewhere else.

Dead roach and live roach found in room

Room look clean, beds super cozy but floor was dirty. DID like that! I have a baby and his pj got super dirty. Room need a little more light is too dark! Other than those small details, food was good and staff was super friendly!

The area was quiet, the mall is across the street. There was serial hood dining options near by.

Bathroom needed to be updated. Not very welll kept. Also was led to believe we could dine at hotel. Restaurant was permenenantly closed. Other than that rest was good

Dirty hotel, broken curtains, nasty carpet in hallway with big stains, broken elevator for luggage cart, poor communication from staff, request extra pillows that never arrived. Non refundable only

The staff in dinning area for breakfast was rude. She kicked off everyone stating the breakfast items were running out. She asked everyone to leave the area even who are in the middle of having their breakfast. Even me and my friends stoped eating and left the area. And also mentioned this to front desk.
