Good JR pass to visit many places. Just unfortunate that on 1 of the days, Hokuriku area was hit with a snowstorm, and many limited express trains and some shinkansen were suspended the whole day.

You can visit some amazing antimainstream touristic places using this pass. It’s really worth it.

Receive an exchange order to exchange at JR office directly. The pass is able to travel many times, though depending on weather conditions, trains may be canceled for the whole day.

Good pass. able to go many places with this pass. Not the pass issue, but went in Jan, due to heavy snow, limited express trains got cancelled, end up having to deroute by 3hours just to get to destination.

It is very easy to exchange for a JR pass ticket at major stations in Japan.

This pass is intended for foreign tourists who want to explore Kansai and Hokuriku area. Our route was Osaka-Kanazawa-Shirakawago-Kanazawa-Kyoto-Osaka and it consisted of shinkansen and train rides. Make sure to go to JR Ticketing office for ticket exchange (you can do it on the machine for e-passport or go to the booth). You need to reserve seats on express trains/shinkansen when using this pass. I find it great value for money rather than making single ticket purchase.

travel around more than 7 prefectures but still relaxed using this pass. Take full advantage of it by riding the Shinkansen & limited express trains. No need to jostle with local trains🤩🤩
